Mayor Bailey called the adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach to order at 1:00 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Present: Bailey, Finley, Green
Absent: Kelly, MacAllister, Mandic, Thomas
STRINGFELLOW LANDFILL
Mayor Bailey stated that the purpose of the meeting was to hear a presentation
by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Health Services
on the removal of materials from the Stringfellow Waste Disposal Landfill in
Riverside County. Mayor Bailey introduced Harriett Wieder, Chairwoman of the
Orange County Board of Supervisors.
Presentations regarding the matter were made by Harry Seraydarian from the
United States Environmental Protection Agency, District 9, San Francisco and
by Richard Wilcoxon, Chief of the Toxics Substance Control Division,
California Department of Health Services.
ADJOURNMENT TO 1/7/85 - 6:45 P.M.
Following presentation, in a Study Session, the meeting was adjourned to
Monday, January 7, 1985 at 6:45 P.M. for the purpose of a Closed Session on
pending litigation, and session at 7:00 P.M. for awards, followed by a report
on the John Wayne Airport.
