HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-11-09Special Meeting Minutes City Council/Public Financing Authority City of Huntington Beach Monday, November 9, 2015 5 00 PM — Closed Session Council Chambers Civic Center, 2000 Main Street Huntington Beach, California 92648 5:00 PM — COUNCIL CHAMBERS CALLED TO ORDER — 5 00 PM ROLL CALL Present Posey, O'Connell, Katapodis, Hardy, Sullivan, Delgleize, and Peterson Absent None ANNOUNCEMENT OF SUPPLEMENTAL COMMUNICATIONS (Received After Agenda Distribution) — None PUBLIC COMMENTS PERTAINING TO SPECIAL MEETING CLOSED SESSION ITEM(S) (3 Minute Time Limit) — None Mayor Hardy Announced: Pursuant to Government Code § 54956 8, the City Council takes this opportunity to publicly introduce and identify designated property negotiator, City Manager - Fred Wilson, who will be participating in today's Closed Session discussions concerning price and terms of payment for the purchase of real property located at 15922 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Harbour Fuel Dock The negotiating parties are Manner's Point (Center City Properties, Inc and Nahas Enterprises) and the City of Huntington Beach RECESS TO CLOSED SESSION — 5 02 PM A motion was made by Posey, second by Peterson to recess to Closed Session Item Nos 1 and 2 The motion carried by the following roll call vote AYES Posey, O'Connell, Katapodis, Hardy, Sullivan, Delgleize, and Peterson NOES None CLOSED SESSION 1. Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.8, the City Council recessed into Closed Session to give instructions to the City's Negotiator, Fred Wilson, City Manager, concerning price and terms of payment for the purchase of real property located at 16922 Pacific Coast Highway (APN 178-58-01), Huntington Harbour Fuel Dock. The negotiating parties are: Mariner's Point (Center City Properties, Inc. and Nahas Enterprises) and the City of Huntington Beach. Council/PFA Special Minutes November 9, 2015 Page 2 of 2 2. Pursuant to Government Code § 54957, the City Manager and Police Chief consulted with the City Attorney and City Council regarding potential threat(s) to public buildings and security of essential public services.
