AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN PARAGRAPHS AND REPEALING CERTAIN PARAGRAPHS OF SECTION 10 OF ORDINANCE NO. 10 OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, AFFECTING CERTAIN RATES FOR LICENSE TAXES. The Board of Trustees of The City of Huntington Beach do ordain as follows: Section I. - Paragraph 21 of Section 10 of Ordinance No. 10 of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby amended to read as follows: "Paragraph 21. For every person, firm or corporation carrying on the business of supplying customers with telephone service to points within the state of California, $10.00 per year." Section IL— Paragraph 22 of Section 10 of Ordinance No. 10 of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby appealed. Section III.— Paragraph 38 of Section 10 of Ordinance No. 10 of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby amended to read as follows: "Paragraph 38. For every person, firm or corporation engaged in the express business, which has an agency in the City of Huntington Beach, and which receives and transmits parcels and freight for hire, from the City of Huntington Beach to other points in the State of California, and not including any business done to or from any point without this State, and not including any business done for the Government of the United States, its offices or agents, $10.00 per year." Section IV.— The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance, and cause the same to be published once in the "Huntington Beach News," a newspaper printed and published in the City of Huntington Beach and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in full force.
