AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE NAMES OF CERTAIN STREETS, CHANGING THE NAMES OF CERTAIN STREETS, AND GIVING NAMES TO CERTAIN UNNAMED STREETS IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. Whereas, the names at present borne by many of the Streets of the City of Huntington Beach are the named given to those streets by the maps and plans recorded in the Recorder's office of the County of Orange, State of California; and, Whereas, it is deemed best by thus Board of Trustees to confirm the same and adopt them as the names with which the said streets are to be designated officially in this City and by this City with certain changes. Now Therefore, The Board of Trustees of The City of Huntington Beach do ordain as follows: Section I.— That all those certain streets shown and named on the following named maps recorded in the Recorder's Office of the County of Orange, State of California, at the books and pages hereinafter designated shall be and are named and officially designated for all purposes whatsoever, by the named therein set forth, to-wit: TITLE OF MAP. Vista Del Mar Tract, Huntington Beach(Knoll Section) 4 4 Vista Del Mar Tract, Huntington Beach (Section Two) 4 5 Vista Del Mar Tract, Huntington Beach (Section Three) 4 6 Vista Del Mar Tract, Huntington Beach (Section Five) 4 15 ORD. 026 1 Vista Del Mar Tract, Huntington Beach (Section Six) 4 29 Vista Del Mar Tract, Huntington Beach (Section Seven) 4 36 Section Eight, Vista Del Mar Tract 4 79 Valley View Tract, Huntington Beach, 5 11 East Side Villa Tract, 4 65 Watson's Re— Subdivision, Huntington Beach, 4 56 Section II That all the following unnamed streets shall hereafter be named and designated as follows: The unnamed street between blocks 201 and 301 Vista Del mar tract Section Two as recorded in Book 4, page 5 of miscellaneous maps of Orange County, California, and between Blocks 301A and 402A of Huntington Beach, Main Street Section is hereby named and designated"Cross Street." The unnamed street shown on map of Knoll Section recorded in Book 4, page 4 of Maps of Orange County, California, lying between Blocks 601 and 701 is hereby named and designated"Acacia Avenue." The unnamed street shown on map of Knoll Section, recorded in Book 4 of Maps, page 4, records of Orange County, California, lying between Blocks 701 and 801 is hereby named and designated"Palm Avenue." The unnamed street shown on Map of Redburn Tract, recorded in Book 4, page 1 of Maps and records of Orange County, California, between Books 2 and 3, is hereby named and designated "Magnolia Avenue." Section III.— That the names of all the following streets, showing on the maps of the Redburn tract, Book 4, page 1, Records of Orange County, California, are hereby changed as follows; - The name of that certain street named and designated"Huntington Avenue" is hereby changed to "Alabama Avenue." The name of that certain street named and designated "Center Street" is hereby changed to "Huntington Avenue." The name of that certain street named and designated"Margarite Avenue" is hereby changed to"Frankfort Street." The name of that certain street named and designated "Unity Avenue" is hereby changed to "Elmira Street." ORD. 026 2 The name of that certain street and designated"Pacific Avenue" is hereby changed to "Detroit Street." Section IV.— All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section V.— The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance, and cause the same to be published once in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper printed and published in the City of Huntington Beach, and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in full force. Rosenberger, City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, do hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was passed at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, held on the 41h day of October 1909. by the following vote: Ayes; Warner, Stewart, Helme, Manning. Rosenberger, City Clerk and Ex officio Clerk of the Board of Trustees of the city of Huntington Beach, hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance is a true and correct copy of an ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach Numbered 26 and entitled - "An Ordinance Approving and Confirming the Names of Certain Street, Changing the Names of Certain Streets, and giving Names to Certain Unnamed Streets in the City of Huntington Beach, California." and that the same has been published in the Huntington Beach News, a new paper published and printed in the City of Huntington Beach according to law.
