ORDINANCE NO. 3
AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE FORM
OF AND ADOPTING A COMMON SEAL FOR THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH, AND PROVIDING FOR THE CARE OF THE SAME.
The Board of Trustees of the city of Huntington Beach do ordain as Follows: —
Section # 1: — The common seal of the City of Huntington Beach shall be so
constructed as to make the following impression: — A circle, with a center piece consisting of a
view of ocean waves, with the outline of Catalina Island, as seen from the city of Huntington
Beach, in the back-ground, and with the words, "City of Huntington Beach, Orange County,
California, Incorporated February 17th, 1909 A.D." Surrounding said center piece and near the
inside margin of said circle.
Section # 2: — The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do hereby adopt
the seal described in section # 1 of the ordinance as the common seal of this city.
Section # 3: — The city clerk shall have charge of the seal of this city, and shall be held
responsible for its care and proper use.
Section # 4: — The Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the Huntington Beach News, and
therefrom and thereafter it shall take effect and be in full force.

foregoing ordinance was passed at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Huntington Beach, held on the 1st day of March 1909; by the following vote: —
Ayes M. E. Helme D. O. Stewart Ed Manning C. W. Warner.
Noes. None Absent C. H. Howard.

ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach numbered"#3." and entitled"AN ORDINANCE
PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF AND ADOPTING A COMMON SEAL FOR THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH, AND PROVIDING FOR THE CARE OF THE SAME." And that the
same has been published in the Huntington Beach News, a news paper published and printed in
the City of Huntington Beach according to law.
