HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #37 ORDINANCE NO. 37. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REGULATING THE APPORTIONMENT OF FUNDS OF THE SAID CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH. The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do Ordain as Follows: Section. However the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach shall pass any resolutions concerning the funds of the City of Huntington Beach, the City Clerk shall, before six o'clock P.M. of the day following the day upon which the said resolution is passes, deliver to the Treasurer of the City of Huntington Beach a certified copy of the said resolution; and if the said resolution concerns the library fund, he shall also, with in the same time, deliver a like copy to the Clerk or Secretary of the Board of Library Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach. Section 2. Whenever the City Treasurer of the City of Huntington Beach shall receive any money belonging to the City of Huntington Beach, he shall give duplicate receipts therefor as follows: For all money deposited in the Library Fund, one receipt to the depositor, one to the Clerk or Secretary of the Board of Library Trustees and one to the City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach; And for all money deposited in any other fund of the City of Huntington Beach one receipt to the depositor, and one to the city Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach. Section 3. The Clerk or Secretary of the board of Library Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach shall, at least one hour before the first regular meeting of each month of the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, file with the City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach a written statement of all receipts and disbursements of the said Library Board during the preceding Month, in addition to any other report required of such Clerk or Secretary by law. Section 4 All ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance, and cause the same to be published once in the "Huntington Beach News," a newspaper printed and published in the City of Huntington Beach, and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in full force.
