HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #52 ORDINANCE NO 52 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPHS 3, 6, 27, AND 31, OF SECTION 10 OF ORDINANCE#10 OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do hereby Ordain as follows: Section 1. Paragraph 3 of Section 10 of Ordinance #10 of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby amended so as to read as follows, to wit: "Paragraph 3. For every person, firm or corporation conducting managing or carrying on a billiard, bagatelle or pool room, $15.00 per year." Siction 2 Paragraph 6 of Section 10 of Ordinance #10 of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby amended so also read as follows, to wit: Paragraph 6. For every person, firm or corporation carrying on the business of running and maintaining a bakery either with or without a line of confectioneries or a confectionery store either with or without a bakery, the sum of$12.00 per year." Section 3. Paragraph 27 of Section 10 of Ordinance #10 of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby amended so as to read as follows, to wit: Paragraph 27. For every vender of popcorn, peanuts, novelties, candy, tamales, or Sunday merchandise, shall pay a license of$12.00 per year." Section 4. Paragraph 31 of Section 10 of Ordinance 10 of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby amended so as to read as follows, to wit: "Paragraph 31. For every person, firm or corporation not a resident of the City of Huntington Beach conducting or carrying on the business of peddling, wheather afoot, or from a wagon, any kind of merchandise, vegetables, fruits, oil wood, or other classes of products, not otherwise charged with a license in this ordinance shall each pay a license of$20.00 per year; and for every person, firm or corporation residing within the City of Huntington Beach, conducting or carrying on the business of peddling, wheather afoot, or from a wagon, any kind of merchandise, vegetables, fruit, oil wood, or other classes of products, not otherwise charged with a license in this ordinance shall pay a license of $12.00 per year." Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance, and cause the same to be published once in the `Huntington Beach News" a newspaper printed and published in the City of Huntington Beach and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in full force.
