HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #60 ORDINANCE NO 60 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, ESTABLISHING THE CURB LINES AND THE GRADE OF A PORTION OF PALM AVENUE IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH. The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do ordain as follows: - Section 1. That the curb line on each side of Palm Avenue, throughout its entire length, be, and the same is hereby fixed and established 10 feet distant from and parallel to the respective adjacent property lines of said street. Section 2. That the official grade of Palm Avenue from the East line of Main Street to the West line of Alabama Avenue be, and the same is hereby fixed as follows:- The Northwest corner of Palm Avenue and Railroad Avenue 39.82 The Northeast corner of Palm Avenue and Railroad Avenue 39.82 The Southeast corner of Palm Avenue and Railroad Avenue 40.02 The Southwest corner of Palm Avenue and Railroad Avenue 40.02 The Northeast corner of Palm Avenue and Main Street 40.15 The Southeast corner of Palm Avenue and Main Street 40.35 The Northwest corner of Alabama Avenue and Palm Avenue 40.10 The Southwest corner of Alabama Avenue and Palm Avenue 40.30 Section 3. Elevations here given are in feet and hundredths of a foot above the City Datum Plane heretofore established in Ordinance No 33 of the City of Huntington Beach, and refer to the top of the curb at the designated points. When a street or avenue corner is mentioned and the grade at such point given the grade shall be the grade at the top of the curb where the produced property line along the street or avenue on which the grade is being taken, intersects the near curb line of the intersecting street. Section 4. At all points between said described points, the grade shall be established so as to conform to a straight line between said points on the same side of the said Palm Avenue. Section 5. The City Clerk Pro tem shall certify to the passage of this ordinance, and cause the same to be published once in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in force.
