HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #74 ORDINANCE NO. 74 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CHANGING AND ESTABLISHING THE GRADE OF GENEVA STREET FROM THE EAST LINE OF HUNTINGTON AVENUE TO THE WEST LINE OF ALLEY BETWEEN DELAWARE AVENUE AND ENGLAND AVENUE IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH. The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, do ordain as follows, Section 1. That the grade of Geneva Street from the East line of Huntington Avenue to the West line of Alley between Delaware Avenue and England Avenue is hereby changed and established in accordance with the follow elevation, At the Northeast corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with Huntington Ave the grade shall be 48,97 At the Southeast corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with Huntington Avenue, the the grade shall be, 48,77 At the Northwest corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with California Ave the grade shall be, 43.30 At the Northeast corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with California Avenue the grade shall be 43,00 At the Southeast corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with California Avenue the grade shall be 42,70 At the Southwest corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with California Avenue the grade shall be 43,00 At the Northwest corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with Deleware Avenue the grade shall be 38,49 At the Northeast corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with Deleware Avenue the grade shall be 38,00 At the Southeast corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with Deleware Avenue the grade shall be 37,80 At the Southwest corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with Deleware Avenue, the grade shall be 38,20 ORD. 074 1 At the Southeast corner of Lot 20, Block 705, Vista Del Mar Tract, being the Northwest corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with the Alley between Deleware Avenue and England Avenue the grade shall be, 33.30 At the Northeast corner of Lot 11, Block 605, Vista Del Mar Tract, being the southwest corner of the intersection of Geneva Street with the Alley between Deleware Avenue and England Avenue the grade shall be, 33 10 Section 2, At all points between said described points, the grade shall be established as to conform to a straight line between said points on the same side of the said Geneva Street Section 3, Elevation here given are in feet and hundredths of feet above the City datum plane heretofore established in ordinance no. 33 of the City of Huntington Beach, and refer to the top of the curb at the designated points, When a street or avenue corner is mentioned, and the grade at such point given, the grade shall be the grade at the top of the curb where the provided property line along the street or avenue on which the grade is being taken intersects the near curb line of the intersecting streets. Section 4, The proceedings for the aforesaid change of grade are taken under the provisions of the"Change of Grade Act of 1909", Section 5, The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one (1)insertion in the "Huntington Beach News," a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said city of Huntington Beach, and therefore and thereafter is shall take effect and be in forced, Ed Manning, President of the Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, Attest: C.E. Lavering City Clerk and Ex-Officio Clerk of the Board of City Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, California, I C.E. Lavering City Clerk, and Ex-Officio Clerk, of the Board of City Trustees of said City, do hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct copy of an ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach, numbered 74, and entitled An Ordinance, of the City of Huntington Beach, changing and establishing the grade of Geneva Street from the East line of Huntington Avenue, to the West line of Alley between Deleware Avenue and England Avenue, in the City of Huntington Beach, and that the same was published once in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper, printed and published in the City of Huntington Beach according to law on the loth day of March 1911 C.E. Lavering City Clerk and Ex-Officio Clerk of the Board of City Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach, California.
