AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE NO 14 OF SAID CITY ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PLAYING OF ANY GAME OF POOL, BAGATELLE,BILLIARDS, OR BOWLING, WITHIN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, OR MAINTAINING A PLACE WHERE SUCH GAMES ARE PLAYED, EXCEPT IN THE MANNER HEREIN PROVIDED,PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF,AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE WITH." The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do ordain as follows: Section 1. - Section 5 of Ordinance No. 14 of the City of Huntington Beach, California, is hereby amended so as to read as follows: "Sec. 5. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm or corporation,who have been licensed to carry on the games of pool, bagatelle, or billiars,under any ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach,to permit or allows any person under the age of eighteen years to play at said games or loiter about the rooms where said games are played, without the written consent of their parents or guardians." Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the"Huntington Beach News"a weekly news-paper published and circulated in the said City of Huntington Beach,and thirty days thereafter it shall take effect and be in full force.
