4 Specifications No . 1 ,"
5 The� Board of Trustees of the city of Huntington Beach , Calif-
ornia, do ordain as follows:
I- Section 1 , That Section 3 of Ordinance No 28 of the city of
� + 7 Huntington Beach , California , entitled "An Ordinance adopting
specifications for the construct ion, of Cement curbs in the city
8 of Huntington Beach , and designating the same as Specifications
j No . 1 ," adopted October 22nd , 1909 , is hereby amended to read ad
9 follows : Section 3 , SHAPE-, ..Curbs shall be six (6)
inched wide on top , nine (9) inches wide on the bottom, and si x-
' 10 teen (16) inches deep , having a batter of three (3 ) inches on the
street side , unless otherwise shown on the plans and rofiles .
` - 11 The radius of the curb returns shall be eight (63 feet at
�) street intersections and th=r$e {3 } feet at alley intersections ,
fi ! -- - 12 unless otherwise shown on the above mentioned plans and profiles .
13 Section 2 , This ordinance is urgently rewired for the immed-
iate preservation of the public peace , health and safety., and the
14 necessity for sthch urgency is as follows : Certain street work
and improvements , including the construction of cement curbs ,
15 thereon , are now under way in said city and the completion of said
I street work and improvements therein as soon as possible is necessary
4!� ' IL 16 and in order to provide for the public safety in the doing and
I completing of said street work and improvements tt,,isinecessary
17 that the a.foresMd amendments to said ordinance No. 28 be in force
and effective as soon as possible and before the said street work
18 and improvements shall be completed .
19 Section 3 , The City Clerk of said city shall ceify to the
(r' passage of this ordinance , and shall cause the same to be pub-
20 , lished once in the Huntington Beach News , a, weekly newspaper
printed , published and circulated in said city and thereupon
th3 s Ordinance shall take effect and be in force .
