The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach,
do ordain as follows :
SECTION? I.... Thet Sect ion 2 of Ordinance No.
of the City of Huntington Beach entitled, "An Ordinance of the
City of Huntington Beach California, providing for the issuing �
of Bonds of the City of Huntington Beach, authorized at a special
municipal election held in said City of Huntington Beach, on
Friday, the 24th day of Februar
y, 1922, for the purpose of the �
acquisition, ce,nstruot ion and completion by said City , of a pub-
lic assembly and convention hall, " be amended so as to read as
follows : Section 2. That said Bonds shell be forty (40) in
number; that they shall be designated as "Huntington Beach Public
Hall Bonds, 1922" and shall be numbered consecutively from One j
(1) to forty (40) both inclusive; that one -half of said Bonds shall
be issued in the denomination of Two hundred and fifty
- y Dollars
($2, 50. OQ) each; that one-half of said bonds shall be issued in

the denomination of one thousand Dollars ($1, 000. 00) each ' that
each odd numbered Bond shall be in the denomination of two hundred �
and Fifty Dollars ($250. 00) and each even hu ibered Bond shall be in
the denomination of One thousand Dollars ($1, 000. 00) ; that the prin-
cipal and interest thereof shall be payable in lawful money of the
United States; that said Bonds .. shall be dated the lst day of May,
1922; and bear interest at the rate of Six per cent (6%) per annum,
payable semi-annually on the lst day of November and the lst day of J

in the City of Huntington Beach, California., the suits or

beginning November 1, 1922, at the office of the City Treasurer of
said City of Huntington Beach, in the City of Huntington Beach, !
California, upon the presentation and surrender of the interest
coupons hereto attached, Principal and interest payable in law-
ful money of the United States. This Bond is issued in pursuance
of the rovi lions of an .nct of the Legislature of the State of
California., which became a law, February 25, 1901, and all amend-
ments thereto , authorizing the incurring of indebtedness by Cities
for Tsnuni ci-pai improve rents, and an Act authorizing Cities, Towns
and Municipal Corporations to'.maintain Public Assembly or Convention
Halls and to incur indebtedness in such improve.zents, which because
a law March 25, 1903, and amendatory thereto.
It is further certified that all requirements of the
Constitution and Laws of the State of California and all Ordinances
of said City of Huntington Beach, have been fully complied with by
the proper officers in the issuing of this Bondi that this issue
of Bonds has been authorized by a vote of more than two -thirds of
the duly quhlified:.voters of said City, voting at a Special Municipal
Election, held in the said City on the 24th day of February, 1922, j
and that the total amount of this issue , together with all other in- G
debtedness of said City, does not exceed the limit prescribed by the
Constitution and haws of the State of California. That before or at
the time of incurring the indebtedness evidenced hereby, provision
has been made for the collection of an annual tax sufficient to pay
the interest of such indebtedness, as it falls due., and also a pro-
vision to constitute a sinking fund for the paynent of the principal
thereof, on or before 411aturity;_
IN TITItTESS WHER1,1OF, the City of Hunt ingto on Beach has caused
this Bond to be signed by the Executive of said Municipality, to wit :
The. President of the Board of '.trustees of said City, �3nd also by the
Treasurer of the said City and to be coutersigned by the Clerk of
the said City and the corporate seal of said City to be affixed there-
to and the said City has also caused the coupons thereto attached to
be numbered consecutively and signed by the Treasurer of said City of
Huntington Beach.

and adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly
newspaper of
general circulation, printed a...nd published in said City ;
of Huntington Beach, and hereby designated for th_.t purpose.

This Ordinance Shall take effect and be in force from
and after the passage thereof.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE Was passed and adoioted at a
regular adjourned meeti-bg of the BotIrd of Trustees of said City
