HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #303 ORDINANCE N0. 4, 3 Ali ORDINANCE OF THE C ITY OF HUNTINGT.ON BEACH ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUZTTINGTON BEACH REGULATING THE, PARKING AND STANDING OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND OTHER VEHICLES - UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS, HIGHWAYS , ALLEYS AND OTHER PLACES OF SAID CITY AND REGULATING TRAFFIC IN CERTAIN OF THE PUBLIC ALLEYS OF SAID CITY, AIM RELEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH." . The Board of Trustees of the City of Huntington Beach do ordain as follows: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 255 of the City of Huntington Beach entitled "An Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach regulating the parking and standing of motor vehicles and other vehicles upon the pub- lic streets, highways , alleys and other places of said City and regulat- ing traffic in certain public alleys of said City, and repealing all ordinances in conflict therewith." be and the same is hereby amendbd;'_ by adding thereto a new section numbered ani. to be known. as Section 4-1/2 of said Ordiance , which said Section shall read as follows: "Section 4-1/2 - It shall be unlawful for any person operating or driving or having the custody or control of any automobile, motor vehicle, or other vehicle , to cause of permit the same to be parked and./or .remain standing in any parking space upon any portion of the public streets in the said City of Huntington Beach, in this Section named for a, greater length of time than herein specified between the hours of 7 o'clock A. M. and 7 o'clock P.M. of any day except Sundays and legal holidays, as follows: a. t Upon Main Street in said City between the Northeasterly line of Ocean Avenue extended and the Southwesterly line of Olive Avenue ex- tended no such vehicle shall be parked or permitted to remain standing for a greater length of time than two (2) consecutive hours. b. Upon Walnut Avenue between the Southeasterly line of niTain Street extended and the Northwesterly line of Third Street extended, no such ` vehicle shall be parked or permitted to remain standing for a greater I , length of. time than thirty (30) oonsecuti-j. minutes. I c. Upon Walnut Avenue between the Northwesterly line. of Main Street extended and the Southeasterly line of Fifth Street extended, no such vehicle shall be parked or permitted to remain standing for a greater. length of time than two (2) consecutive hours. d. Upon and along the Northeasterly line of Ocean between the .. Southeasterly line of Fifth Street extended and the Northwesterly line of Third Street extended, no such vehicle shall be parked or permitted to remain standing for a greater length of time than two (2) aonseen- tive hours. Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance, and cause the same to be published. once in HV TINGTON BEACH IEHI S, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the said City of Huntington Beach, hereby designated by s•aid Board of Trustees for said purpose, and the same shall become effective and be in force thirty (30) days after such publ cation.
