I 2 j AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 4a TO ORDINANCE 3 NO. 224 OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH Ell- i TITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTING- � 4 TON BEACH PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF THE BUSINESS OF MAINTAINING, CONDUCTING AND OF 5 OPERATING OIL WELLS AND DERRICKS WITHIN SAID CITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF REVENUE AND REGULATION" 8 The people c' the City of Huntington Beach do ordain as 9 follows : 10 Section 1. That a new section be added to Ordinance No. 11 224 entitled "An Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach pro- 12 viding 'for the licensing of the business of maintaining, conduct 13 ing and of operating oil wells and derricks within said city for 14 the purpose of revenue and regulation" , which said new section 15 shall be added at the end of Section 4 and shall be numbered 16 section 4a and shall read as follows: 17 "Section 4a. Beach, California I i i i i 1 ORDINANCE NO. 2 AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 4b TO ORDINANCE NO. 224 OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH EN- 3 TITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTING- TON BEACH PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF THE 4 BUSINESS OF L,AINTAINING, CONDUCTING AND OF OPERATING OIL WELLS AND DERRICKS WITHIN SAID 5 CITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF REVENUE AND REGULATION" i 6 � 7 The people of the City of Huntington Beach do ordain as 8 follows: I 9 Section 1. That a new section be added to Ordinance No. 224 1-0 entitled "An Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach providing 11 for the licensing of the business of maintaining, conducting and 12 of operating oil wells and derricks within said city for the 13 purpose of revenue and regulation" , which said new section shall I 14 be added at the end of Section. 4a and shall be numbered section 15 4b and shall read as follows: 16 "Section 4b. No license ' shall be issued by the City Clerk j 17 under the terms of this Ordinance until a permit therefor shall. 18 be granted by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach. 19 All applications for a license under the terms of this Ordinance 20 shall be accompanied by a bond sufficient in form to guarantee i 21 to the property owners and to the City of Huntington Beach that 22 any structure , derrick, sump hole , debris or other material placed 23 upon said premises by the licensee or its agents will be removed 24 from said premises within ninety (90) days after the cessation of 25 labor or abandonment of said oil well or the business of exploring ) 26 for oil upon said premises. Shall the Ordinance amending Ordinance No 224 and providing that before any permit or license to YES erect an oil derrick or drill an oil well shall be issued, the applicant for such permit shall file with the City of Huntington Beach a verified NO statement showing that applicant has made satis- factory provision for the disposal of waste water, oil and rotary mud from said well, be adopted?
