HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #415 ORDINANCE NO. 415 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF H UNTI NGTO N B EACH , CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF' SAID CITY. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, do ordain- as follows: Section 1: The Fire Chief of the City of Huntington X . Beach is hereby allowed Seven (7 ) engineers, who shall be paid salaries according to the following schedule: First Year of service $135.00 per month , Second Year of service $145.00 per month, Third Year of service $155.00 pe'r month, Fourth year of service $160.00 per month. All salaries herein mentioned shall be paid semi- monthly. Those eligible to advancement to the "next higher classification shall be promoted only upon recommendation of the Fire Chief and thereafter shall receive the salary provided for said classification. i Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the pas- sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published I I by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly news- ` _ paper pr:lnt.ed= published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach,and thirty (30) days after its passage and adoption this Ordinance shall be i-n force and effect. i1 PASSED :AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City � I of Huntington Beach, California, at a, regular meeting thereof held on the 1 t day of Avaust , 1938.
