STREET IN THE 6 CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, AND REGULATING ITS USE" . 7 >- 8 The City Council of the City of Huntington "each, 9 ! California, does ordain as follows: 10 Section 1: That Section 3 of Ordinance ' No. 344 of 11 the City of Huntington Beach be, and the same is , hereby 12 amended so as to read as follows: 13 "Section 3: It sh all be unlawful for any person or 14 } r persons while upon or near the Municipal Pier, located at the 15 foot of Main Street in the City of Huntington Beach, and over 16 the Pacific Ocean in said City , to do or cause or permit to 17 be done , any of the following acts, to-wit: 18 (a) . To cast a fishing line, 'either with or without a 19 fishing pole, by ,ghat is commonly known as overhead casting. 20 ( b) . To place, cut or clean any fish or bait , or any other marine life upon any bench or seat placed upon said Municipal 21 Pier. 22 ( c) . To leave said pier without disposing of any trash, shells or other debris which may be placed upon said pier by 23 said person or persons. 24 (d) • `1'o drive or permit to be driven any vehicle of any 25 I kind or character whatsoever upon said pier without first having obtained: a permit from the Chief of Police of the City of Huntington Beach so -to do. 26 ( e) . To have more than two fishing lines to any one 27 person in the water under or near said pier at any one time. 28 ( f ) •- To, take, eause or permit to be taken upon said pier 29 1 any dog or other domestic animal, except upon a leash not more 2 than six feet in length. � (g) . To deface, injure, mark or damage any benches , 3 seats, buildings or equipment upon said pier. I 4 (h) . To remove , use or tamper with any _life saving equip- 5 ment upon said pier except in time of emergency. " ` Section 2: That a new section, to be known as 6 Section 3a, shall be added to said Ordinance No. 344, said 7 1 new section to be inserted between Section 3 and Section 4 8 I of said Ordinance and to read as follows: � 9 I "Section 3a: The Chief of Police of the City 10 of Huntington Beach may issue special permits to drive vehicles upon said pier for the transportation of property and supplies j 12 to and from business establishments located upon said pier or 13 i connected therewith between the hours of 6:00 A. IVI. and 9: 30 � 14 A. M. and may issue special permits for the transportation of _ 15 '- persons, between said hours , in case of necessity or emergency; 16 provided, that emergency vehicles may be permitted to drive 17 upon said pier at all times for the purpose of saving life 18 or property.
