AN ORDINANCE OF THE CI I OF HUN`rINGTON BEACH
AMEM)IING ORDINANCE NO. 228, EATITLED, "AN
ORDINANCE PhOVIDING FOh THE INSPECTION AND
CONSTRUCTION OF ELECTRIC APPLIANCES IN
BUILDIAGS IN THE CITY OF HUN'r :NGTUN BEACH,
AND THr: APPoINTMENT OF A CITI ELECTRICIAN AND
FIXING HIS COMPEN SA,rlON. n
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,,
California, do ordain as follows:
Section 1: That Section 4 of, Ordinance No. 228,
C entitled, "An Ordinance providing for the inspection
and construction of electric appliances in buildings
in the City of Huntington Beach, and the appointment
of a City Electrician and fixing; his compensation, "
be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as
follows:
Section 4: Every such person, firm, company or
C corporation, before such License or renewal thereof is
granted shall give a bond to the City of Huntington
.beach in the penal sum of Five Hundred *00v00) Dollars,
I` witn two good and sufficient sureties, each of whom is
the owner of property witnin the City of Huntington
Beach of the value of twice the amount of the penal
sum of said bond or by''a reliable surety company,

approved 'by the City Council; the conditions of said
bond shall be stated in substantially the following
language:

principal, shall comply with all the laws and ordinances
i pertaining to said business, and shall indemnify and save
harmless the City of Huntington Beach and .any person or
persons who may 'be injured or caused financial loss through
any failure on the park of said licensee to comply with
said laws, or because of any misconduct on the part of said
C licensee in carrying on said business or faulty work-
manship, then this obligation shall be void, otherwise it
shall remain in full force and effect, and this bond shall
Inure to the benefit of the City of Huntington Bench and
to any person or persons and to all employers or said
f—' licensee; and the said City and any of said above mentioned
persons may maintain an action on this bona directly in
Its, his, her or their name or names, and this bond may be
recovered against more than once and until the full
penalty thereof snall be exhausted. "
Section 2: The City Clerk snall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published 'by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News,
a weekly newspaper prinked, published and circulated in

the City of Huntington Beach, and tnereafter it shall be
in force and effect.
