AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 434 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE FIXING
AND REGULATING THE COMPENSATION OF CITY
OFFICERS, DEPUTIES, ASSISTANTS AND
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH" BY ADDING NEW SECTIONS THERETO.
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, do ordain as follows:
. Section 1: That a new section shall be added to
Ordinance No. 434-, to be inserted after Section 14, and
to be known as Section 14a, the same to read as follows:
Section 14a: The City Engineer shall be ex-officio
manager of the Municipal Trailer Camp.
Section 2: That a new section shall be added to
Ordinance No. 434, to be inserted after section 14a, and
to be known as Section 14b, the same to read as follows:
Section 14b: RULES AND REGULATIONS ESTABLISHED:
Rules and regulations governing the use and operation
of the Municipal Trailer Park are hereby established as
follows :
1. All vehicles and trailers must be parked at
right angles to the roadway as designated and at such
locations as directed by Park Manager.

2. All tents must be placed on sand area between
retaining wall and ocean and at such locations as directed
by Park Manager.
5 3. All tent or awning stakes must be removed and
satisfactorily disposed of before leaving park.
4. All dogs must be on leash of not more than
7 feet in length. Vicious dogs must be muzzled at all times .
5. Changing of clothes is prohibited in toilet rooms.
6. Shower rooms are for bathing only.
7. All open fires are prohibited on beach.
8. All rubbish and debris shall be placed in proper
containers as required by Park Manager.
9. Place all garbage in garbage cans - Do not wrap
garbage in paper.
10. No mail delivery will be made at Municipal
Trailer Park. Call at local Post Office for all mail.
11. All telephone calls must be placed at available
pay station.
12. Extended time must be paid in advance.
13. All visitors to camp must park automobiles

outisde park area.
11+. Your paid up receipt must be shown when leaving
park.
15. No person shall advertise for sale or sell any
automobile or trailer in the park area.

16. No trailer space for trailer shall be sub-let
or sub-rented without written permission from the City
Council.
17. No person or persons shall be permitted to
occupy a trailer or tent not owned by the occupant for
a longer time than two weeks without the written consent
of the City Engineer.
18. No fixed water connection shall be made to
any trailer or tent.
19. No water connection may run longer than 30
minutes without permission of Park Manager.
20. No vehicle is- permitted to move at a speed
greater than 10 miles per hour in park area.
21. No commercial vehicle or person shall be allowed
in the park or camp ground area for the purpose of selling
or renting of any product, service or equipment without
the written consent of the City Council.
22. No baseball, football or other dangerous tossing
games shall be permitted in trailer park or camping area
other than such areas as may be designated by the Park
Manager.
23. Any additions to any trailer or tent must be
constructed of canvas or cordage and then only under the
supervision of the Park Manager.
24. No wheels shall be removed from trailers.

25. All electric lights must be turned off during
daylight hours.
26. Loud and boisterous noise or language is pro-
hibited in camp at all hours .
27. Radios and phonographs shall not be played
between the hours of 11:00 P M and 7:00 A M.
28. No tent shall contain a greater area than
0 170 square feet and not more than 10 feet in height.
29. Not more than one tent shall be allowed to
an allocated space of 400 square feet.
30. All rent for trailer and tent spaces must be
paid in advance .
Section 3: That a new section shall be added to
Ordinance No. 434, to be inserted after Section 14b, and
to be known as Section 14c, the same to read as follows:
Section 14c: POSTING OF NOTICES. The City Engineer
is hereby authorized and directed to post and maintain
notices setting forth the Rules and Regulations contained
in Section 14b hereof. Said notices shall be headed,
"RULES AND REGULATIONS" in words not less -than one inch
in height, and shall refer to this ordinance. Said notices
shall be posted at the office in said Trailer Camp, and not
to exceed 300 feet apart along the main roadway in the said
Municipal Trailer Park.
Section 4: That a new section shall be added to
Ordinance No. 434, to be inserted after Section 14c, and

to be known as Section 14d, the same to read as follows:
Section 14d: Any person violating any of the Rules
and Regulations contained in Section 14b hereof shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall
be punished by a fine not to exceed $100.00 or by imprison-
went in the County Jail not to exceed 50 days or by both
such fine and imprisonment.
