HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #543 ORDINANCE NO . 5*43 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA , ESTABLISHING A BEACH AND PIER DEPARTMENT . The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach do ordain as follows : Section 1: That there is hereby established and created in the City of Huntington Beach a department to be known as the Beach and Pier Department . Section 2: The office of Manager of the Beach and Pier Department is hereby created. The Manager of the Beach and Pier Department shall have the following duties : (a) Management and control of the Trailer Park and general supervision of cleaning of restrooms located on the beach and the pier , and such other duties as the 1 City Council may from time to time delegate to him. (b) The Beach and Pier Manager shall , with the advice and consent of the City .Council, appoint such clerical assistants and employees as may be necessary to carry on the business of the department . Section 3: The salary of the Trailer Park Manager shall be established under Range 29 of the schedule of the Basic Salary Range and shall begin at Step A of said range. • 1 Ord. 543 Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Hunting- ton Beach News , a .weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, Calif- ornia, and thirty (30) days after the adoption hereof the same shall take effect and be in force . PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California , this 2nd day of May 1 1949.
