ORDINANCE NO . 550
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, SETTING THE FEE FOR
CONNECTING WITH SEWER LINES AND
PROVIDING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
THEREOF.

The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California , do ordain as follows:
Section 1: That a fee of One Hundred Fifty ($150.00)
Dollars is hereby levied for the use and benefit of the
City of Huntington Beach, to be collected for each con-
nection made to the sewer line extension from Memphis Street
to Nashville Street for the purpose of furnishing sewer
connection to lots eleven (11) to twenty (20) inclusive,
of the Summit Tract, as per map thereof recorded in Book
7, page 1 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California. All sums of money so collected shall be
deposited in the general fund of the City, and it is hereby
declared unlawful and to constitute a misdemenaor to connect
with said sewer until a permit therefor is issued by the
plumbing inspector of the City of Huntington Beach, Calif-
ornia.

Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause
the same to be published by one insertion in the Hunting-
ton Beach News , a weekly newspaper, printed, published and
circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, California,
and thirty (30) days after the adoption hereof the same
shall take effect and be in force.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, this 17th day of
October- , 1949.

I, JOHN L. HENRICKSEN, the duly elected, qualified
and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington° Beach and
ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City of
Huntington Beach, do hereby certify that the whole number
of members of the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach is five, that the foregoing Ordinance was first
read to said City Council at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 3rd day of October, 1949, and was again
read to said City Council at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 17th day of October , 1949, and was
passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than
a majority of all members of said City Council as follows :
