HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #552 ORDINANCE ND.' 552, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AN AMEND— MENT TO THE CONTRACT PROVIDING FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH IN THE CALIFOR4IA STATE EMPLOYEES° RETIREMENT SYSTEM, MAKING ITS EMPLOYEES MEMBERS OF SAID SYSTEM. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, do ordain as follows: Section 1: That an amendment to the contract pro- viding for the participation of the City of Huntington Beach in the State Employees' Retirement System, is hereby authorized between the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, and the Board of Administration, California State Employees' Retire— ment System, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked "Exhibit All, and by such reference :wade a part hereof as though herein set out in full. Section 2: The Mayor of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby authorized, < ,empowered, and directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of said City. Section 3: This Ordinance shall take effect from and after January 1, 1950, and prior to the expiration of fourteen days from the passage thereof shall be published at least once in the Huntington Beach News, 1 Ord. 552 a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City. of Huntington Beach, and thence- forth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
