AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
3229 OF SAID CITY, ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTING-
TON BEACH, RELATING TO AND REGULATING TRAFFIC
UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
INCONSISTENT HEREWITH,e' AS AMENDED.
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, does ordain as follows.
Section 1: That a new section is hereby added to
Ordinance No. 322, the same to be known as Section 23e
and to be inserted immediately after Section 23d, the
same to read as follows:
Section 23e: That in addition to those certain street
intersections as set forth in Sections 23, 23b, 23c and
23d hereof, the following streets are hereby designated
as "Stop" intersections:
TWENTY-THIRD STREET AND ORANGE AVENUE.
All vehicles entering or crossing said intersection
from Orange Avenue are required to stop at the easterly
side of said Twenty-third Street.

That this Ordinance shall not be construed to repeal
Sections 23, 23b, 23c and 23d of said Ordinate but shall
be construed as an addition and supplement thereto.
That the Chief of Police is hereby authorized and
directed to place and maintain a "Stop" sign at or near
the entrance of the intersection where said stop is re-
quired. Said "Stop" sign shall comply with the provisions
of said Mehicle Code of the State of California.
Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach .News, a
weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the
City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty (30) days
after the adoption hereof the same shall take effect and bey=
in force.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, this 2Oth day of March
1950. _

the loth day of March, , 1950, and. was passed and
adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a majority
of all the members of said City Council as follows:
