HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #566 ` ORDINANCE NO. 566 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 322 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, RELATING TO AND REGULATING TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH" AS AMENDED , BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 1HERETO. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, do ,ordain as follows: Section 1: That Ordinance No. 322 , as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by adding a new section thereto, to be inserted between Sections 33 and 34, to be known as Section 33a, and to read as follows: Section 33a: Parking Time Limit in Specified Places, The operator of a vehicle shall not park such vehicle for longer than one hour within any portion of any street in said City between the hours of 9 A.M. and 6 P.M. of any day, which portion of such street ha`s been designated by resolution of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach as subject to a one-hour parking limit. The Chief of Police shall erect or cause to be erected and maintain and cause to be maintained not more than one hundred fifty (150) feet apart in each block subject to one-hour parking limit, signs designating the provisions 'of ,this section, Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach -1- Ord. 566 C News , a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty days after the adoption hereof the same shall take effect and be in force.
