AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH AMENDING SECTIONS 1321 and 1325
OF THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE-
AND REPEALING SECTION 1322 OF SAID CODE
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, ordains as follows:
Section 1: That Section 1321 of the Huntington Beach
Ordinance Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Section 1321: Maximum Personnel. The Council shall
by resolution provide for the maximum personnel in the Fire
Department, and the maximum number in each classification.
Section 2; That Section 1325 of the Huntington Beach
Ordinance Code, be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Section 1325: Promotions. Those eligible to advance-
ment to the next higher classification shall be promoted only
upon recommendation of the Fire Chief and upon the approval of
the City Council shall thereafter receive the salary provided
for said clas""sification.
Section 3: That Section 1322 of the Huntington Beach
Ordinance Code be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the

same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach
News, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in
i_ . the City of Huntington Beach, Orange County California; and
_. thirty (30) days after the adoption hereof the same shall take
effect and be in force.
