HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #611 1 ORDINANCE NO. 611 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH .ESTABLISHING SETBACK LINES .ALONG PORTIONS OF_ CERTAIN STREETS:AND PUBLIC WAYS IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH. WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City 1 of Huntington Beach, by its Resolutions Nos. 29, 30 and 31, recommend to the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach the establishment of certain setback lines along portions of streets and public ways in this city; and WHEREAS., the City Council did adopt its resolution of intention to establish said setback lines as set forth in Resolution No. 1209; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the 1st day of February, 1954, upon said proposed setback lines: NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, does ordain as follows : Section 1: That the City Council does find and. determine that it is for the public peace, health, safety, comfort, convenience, interest, and welfare that setback lines be established within the City of Huntington Beach, 1 and said setback lines: are hereby established as follotrrs: a, A setback line on the east side of Delaware Avenue from Quincy Street to Niemphis Street, said setback line to be parallel to the center line of Delaware Avenue and 10 ft. east, measured at right angles, from the present east 1r operty line of Delaware Avenue0 1 ®1R Ode 6ii 1 b. A setback line on the west side of Delaware Avenue from Memphis Street to 'Nashville Street, said setback line to be parallel to the center line of Delaware Avenue and 10 ft. west, measured at right angles, from the present west property line of Delaware Avenue. c. A setback line on the west side of . Delaware Avenue from Oswego Street to Quincy Street, said setback line to be parallel to the center line of Delaware Avenue and 10 ft, west, measured at right angles, from the present west property line of Delaware Avenue. d. A setback line on the east side of Huntington Avenue from Quincy Street to Oswego Street, said setback line to be parallel to the present west property line of Hunting- ton Avenue and 60 fte east, measured at right angles:, from the present west }r operty line of Huntington Avenue0 ea A setback line on the north side of Memphis Street from Huntington Avenue to Hampshire Avenue, said setback line to be parallel to the south property line of Memphis Street and 60 ft. north, measured at right angles, from said south property line of Memphis Street. f. A setback line on the north side of Oswego Street from Huntington Avenue to Delaware Avenue, said setback line to be parallel to the south property line of Oswego Street and 60 ft. north, measured at right angles, from the present south property line .of said Oswego Street. Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the 1 -2m Ord® 611 passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the san e 'to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, Orange County, California, and thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof the same shall take effect and be in force* PASSED AND ADOPTED) by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, this 6th day of July , 1954* Mayor -" ATTEST: ' Z ehn L..
