HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #618 ORDINANCE NO. 618 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HLTETZNGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE BOLES AND REGULATIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL, TRAILER PARR, AAIZKDING SECTIONS 7711. 7712.1, 7713.2, 7714. 77i6.1, 7719.4, 771905, 7719.6, 7719. 7719.3, 7721, 7724. 77269 REPEALING SECTIONS 7701, 7718.1, 7719.2. 7718.3 AND ADDING SECTIONS 77i4.5. 7714..6, 7714.7. 77i4.9. 7719.4, 7719.5 ' The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, - do ordain as follows: Section 1: That Section 7711 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code be and the same is hereby amended to__r®ad as follows.._ _ Section 7711 Rules, Regulations Established: Rules and .regalatioas governing the use and operation of the Municipal Trailer Park are hereby established as set forth in Article 771. Violations of any of theee. rules and regmlatians shall be cause for eviction of tenants and their property. Section 2: That Section 7712.1 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 7712.1 Showing Receipt When Leaving: A paid-up receipt must be shown when leaving the park with tent or trailer. I Section 3:' That Section 7713.2 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 7713.2 State License: All trailers must have valid motor vehicle license as required by state law. Section 4: That Section 7714 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:' sla Ord. 618 Section .7714 Vehicles Speed. Limit: No vehicle is permitted to move at a speed greater .than 5 miles per hour in park .area. Section. 5: Section. 7716.1. of the Huntington Beach. Ordinance Code is hereby amended to, read as. follows: Section. 7716.1..,, Radios.. Phonographs., Television Sets: Radios, phonographs and television sets shall not. be played between the hours of 11:00 P.M. and, 7:00 A.M.. Section 6: That Section 7718.4 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code be and the same is hereby.amended to read as follows: Section 7718.4 Subrenting Space: No trailer or tent shall be loaned, sublet or subrented._ Section 7: That Section 7718.5 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code be and the same is hereby amended .to read as follows: Section 7718.5 Occupancy of Another's Trailer: Tent: No person or persons shall occupy a trailer or tent not-owned by the occupant with- out written.consent of the Trailer Park Manager., unless a member .of the tenantos ,family is present. Section 8: That Section 7718.6 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code be and the same is- hereby amended to read as follows: Section 7718.6 Additions to Trailer: Nb addition to any trailer shall be constructed until. a permit therefor has.been issued by the Building Department.. Such additions shall not exceed 8 ft. x 16 ft., shall .be of. fireresistant construction and must be approved by the Building. lnspector and. Fire Chief of the City of Huntington Beach and constructed under the supervision of the Trailer Park Manager, Section 9: That Section 7719 of the Huntington-Beach Ordinance Code be and the same is. hereby amended to.read as follows: -2- Ord. 618 Section 7719 Tents.. Size: No tent shall be larger than 170 square feet in size or exceed 8 feet in height. Section 16: That Section. 7719,3 of the Hunti.ngton. Beach Ordinance Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 7719:3 Tents., Stakes: No tents or awnings shall be'erected with arty stakes or ropes on the exterior.- Section ll: That Section 7721 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 7721 Posting of Rules: The Trailer Park Manager is hereby authorized and directed to post and maintain notices setting forth the rules and regulations contained in. Article 771, Section. 12:: That Section 7724 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code be and. the same is hereby amended to read-as follows: Section.772W Arranging- for Appearance: Whenever arT person is arrested for any violation of the provisions of Article 771, unless such person demands the right to an immediate appearance before a magistrate, the arresting officer _shall, .upon production of satisfactory evidence of the latter"s .identity, take the name and address of such person and notify him in writing to..appear at a time and..place to be'specified in such notice, such time to be at bast five days after such.arrest and such place to be before a .Judge of a Court. of competent jurisdiction. Section 13: That Section 7726 .of the Huntington Beach Ordinance' Code be and the. same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section .7726 . Immediate- Appearance before_Magistrate: Whenever a V such.person refuses to give. his written promise to appear as herein pro- vided or demands an immediate appearance before the Judge, he shall be taken. forthwith before a Judge of a Court of.competent jurisdiction, -3® Ord. 618 Section 14: That Sections 7701, 7718.1, 7719.2 and 7718.3 of the Huntington Beach.Ordinance Code be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 15: That new sections be and they are hereby added to the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code, designated Sections 7714.5. 7714.6, 7714.79 7714.8. 7719.4 and 7719.5, to read as follows: Section 7714.5 Stopping Vehicles Before Entering: All vehicles, before entering the trailer park shall come to' a complete stop at the entrance thereof. Section 7714.6 Tenants Responsible. for Guests: Tenants will be held responsible for any damage or violation of park rules by their children or guests. Section 7714.7 Children. Rest Rooms: Children under six years of age must be accompanied to the restrooms or showers by an adult. Section 7714.8 Children Playing in Park Buildings: Children are NOT ALLOM to play in park buildings. Section 7719.4 Trailers. Equipment: All trailers must be equipped with their own fuses or multi breaker with maximum limit of 20 amps, and shall be equipped with their own lead-in cord of.not less than No. 12 sire wire, rubber-covered and weather proofed. Section 7719.5 Electric Outlet: No trailer shall use any electrical outlet not assigned to such trailer. �.
