The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach do ordain as follows : Section 1. That Sections 1332, 13429 14519 15919 1591.12, 1591.15, 1591.16, 1591.17, 1591.18, 1591.19, 1591.2, 1591.22, 1591.259 1591.249 1591.259 1591.269 1591.28, 1591.299 1591.39 1591.319 1591.329 1591.3319 1591.349 1591.35, 1591.36 , 1591.379 1591.389 1591.3811, 1591.399 1591.4, 1591.419 1591.429 1591.439 1591.449 1591.45, 1591.4519 1591.469 1591.4669 1591.479 1591.48, 1591.499 1591.491, 1591.5 , 1591.51, of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code be amended to read as follows : Section 1332 :- Street Superintendent: Appointment : the Street Superintendent shall be appointed by the City Council and shall hold office at its pleasure. He shall have such other powers, duties and responsibilities as are set forth in the Charter, in the Ordinances of the City of Huntington Beach and by the Laws of the State of California. Section 1342 : Building and Safety Director: Appointment : The Building and Safety .Director shall be. 1. Ord. #691 head of the Building Department. The Building and Safety Director shall be appointed by the City Council and shall hold office at its pleasure. He shall have such powers and duties as are set forth in the Charter and in the Ordinances of the City, of Huntington Beach. Section 1439 : Number. of Employees : Procedure for changing. All Employees who are paid on a monthly basis, except part-time employees and uniformed employees of the Fire Department are required to be on duty forth hours each week except in cases of emergency that may be defined by the Council. The working schedule for Fire Department personnel who are required to work on a 24 hour shift shall be a three plat- oon system with an annual average of 60 hours per week.
