AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNT INGT ON.
BEACH RELATING TO PARKING AND ADDING:
SECTIONS- 6312, 6312.1 and 6312.2 TO THE.
HUNT INGT ON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, do ordain as follows:
Section 1: There is hereby added to the Huntington
Beach Ordinance Code, Sections 6312, 6312.1 and 6312.2, to
be in words and figures as follows:
Section 6312. Prohibited Area. Parking. No person
shall park or leave standing, any motor vehicle along the
northeasterly side of Pacific Coast Highway between the
intersection of Huntington Beach Boulevard and a point 400
feet southeasterly along said highway from the west line of
Section 13, Township 6 South, Range 11 West, S.B.B. & M.
Section 6312.1. The Chief of Police of the City of
Huntington Beach shall install official signs designating
the "No Parking"area.
Section 6312.2. That the provisions of Section 6312.
and Section 6312.1 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code
shall be ineffective six (6) months after receipt of noti-
fication by the City Council of written notice of withdraw-
al of approval of the Department of Public Works of the
State of California, of this Ordinance No. 699'-A

Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the pass-
age and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same
to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach
News, a weekly newspaper published, printed and circulated
in the City of Huntington Beach, Orange County, California,
and, thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof the same
shall take effect and be in force.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, this 18th day of
August 1958.

I, JOHN L. HENRICKSEN, the duly elected, qualified
and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and
ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do here-
by certify that the whole number of members of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the
foregoing ordinance was first read to said City Council at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th . day of July
1958, and was again read to said City Council at 'a regular
meeting thereof held on the 18th day of - August , 19581
and was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more
than a majority of all the members of said City Council as
follows:

APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
A proposed Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach
provides for the prohibition of parking along tl,)e northeasterly
side of Pacific Coast Highway between the intersection of
Huntington Beach Boulevard and a point- 400 feet southeasterly
along said highway from the west line of Section 13, Township 6
South, Range 11 West, S.B.B. & M, and has been submitted to the
Department of Public Works for approval in accordance with
Section 589.5 of the Vehicle Code,
Pacific Coast Highway is State Highway Route 60, as
defined by law.
Said proposed Ordinance, insofar as it relates to
State Highway Route 60, is approved as submitted.
This approval is made pursuant to delegations of au-
thority from the Director of Public Works through the State
Highway Engineer to the undersigned Assistant State Highway
Engineer, which delegations of authority are dated September 24,
1957 ( confirmed January 2, 1958) , and October 1, 1957 .
