HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #826 ORDINANCE No. 826 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO ZONE CASES 146, 1552 1569 158, 159 and 169, AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDI- NANCE CODE BY RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING SECTIONS 9211.4 (Sectional District Map 24-5-11) , 9211.64 (Sectional District Map 24-6-11)� 9211.33 (Sectional District Map 14-5-11) and 9211.65 (Sectional District Map 19-6-10) . WHEREAS, the Planning Commissibn has given notices of and duly held public hearings on Zone Cases No. 146, 155, 1567 1681 159 and 169 and recommended the changes in the district classifications as hereinafter set out; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held public hear- ings in said zone cases and now finds that public necessity convenience and the general welfare require the following amendments and that the use under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting- ton Beach do ordain as follows: Section 1. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, de- scribed as follows: Located on approximately 10 acres east of Beach Boulevard, 660 feet south of Heil Avenue and legally described as the Westerly 607.00 feet of the South 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the South- west 1/4 of Section 24, Township 5 South, Range 1. Ord. No. 826 11 West , S . B. B. & M. , excepting that portion conveyed to State of California; is hereby reclassified from R-1 Single Family Residence District to C-2 Community Business District. 2. Ord. No. 826 Section That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, de- , scribed as follows: Located on approximately 44 acres . lying adjacent to the Edison Generating .Plant Station, north of Pacific Coast Highway 101-A; Westerly of the southerly extension of Cannery Street , and south of the Orange County Flood Control District Hunt- ington Beach Channel. Legally described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of a line that is parallel with and 100 feet westerly, measured at right angles,from the east line of the west half of the southeast quarter of Section 13, Township 6 South, Range 11 West. , S.B.B. & M. , with the southwesterly line of the land conveyed by Willow Land- Company to A. C .
