Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #864 ORDINANCE No. 864 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNT INGT ON BEACH RELATING TO ZONE CASES Nos.188, 189, 191 and 193, AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING SECTION 9211.34 (Sectional District Map 15-5-11) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notices of and duly held public hearings on Zone Cases Nos. 188, 1897 191 and 193 and recommended the changes in the district class- ifications as hereinafter set out; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held public hearings in said zone cases and now finds that public necessity, con- venience and the general welfare require the following amend- ments and that the use under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach do ordain as follows: Section 1. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, describ- ed as follows: Located on approximately 2.55 acres at the South- west corner of Bolsa Avenue and Edwards Street and legally described as that portion of the east- erly 1,295.06 feet of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 15, Township 5 South, Range 11 West. , SBB & M, de- scribed as follows: Ord. No. 864 Beginning at the center of said Section 15; thence, North 0° 401 0011 West, along the east line of the Northwest quarter of said Sec- tion 15, a distance of 2,202.00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence, South 890 341 261t West, parallel with the south line of said Northwest quarter, a distance of 255.00 feet thence , North 00 401 00" West, parallel with the east line of said Northwest quarter, a distance of 438.96 feet more or less to the north line of said Northwest quarter; thence , North 890 34t1311 East along said north line , a distance of 255.00 feet more or less to the North quarter corner of said Section; thence, South 00 401 00f1 East, along the east line of said Northwest quarter, a distance of 438.98 feet to the true point of beginning. Excepting therefrom the easterly 20.00 feet of the Northerly 40.00 feet of the Northwest quarter of Section 15-5-11, is hereby reclassified from R-1 Single Family Residence District to C-4 Community Business District. Section 2. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange , State of California, describ- ed as follows: Located on approximately 2.24 acres at the Northwest corner of Edward Street and Sugar Aven- ue , and legally described as follows: That por- tion of the easterly 1,295.06 feet of the North- west 1/4 of Section 15, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, SBB & M, described as follows: Beginning at the center of said Section 15; thence , South 890 34t 261, West along the south line of said Northwest quarter a distance of 255'.00 feet; thence, North 00 4Ot00" West, parall- el with the east line of said Northwest quarter a distance of 382.00 feet; thence , North 890 341 26" East parallel with the south line of said northwest quarter a distance of 255.00 feet more or less to the East line of said Northwest quarter thence , South 00 40t 0011 East along said east line a distance of 382.00 feet to the point of beginning. The above described parcel contains 2.24 acres, P_ Ord. No. 864 is hereby reclassified from R-1 Single Family Residence Dis- trict to C-4 Community Business District. Section 3. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, describ- ed as follows: Being a portion of the Northeast 1/4 of Sec- tion 15-5-11, SBB & M described as follows: The South 1921 of the East 2301 of the South- east 1/1+ of the Southeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 15, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, S.B.B. & M. is hereby reclassified from R-5 Zone to C-1 Neighborhood Com- mercial District. Section 4. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange , State of California, describ- ed as follows: Being a portion of the Northeast 1/4 of Sec- tion 15, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, SBB & M, described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Northeast 1/4 of Section 15, said corner being the centerline interesection of Bolsa Avenue , 80 feet wide and Edwards Street, 40 feet wide said centerline intersection being the true point of beginning; thence , North 890 341 13" East along the centerline of Bolsa Avenu8 a distance of 405. 53 feet; thence , South 0 39' 35" East parallel with the centerline of Goldenwest Street a distance of 429.00 feet; thence, South 890 34' 26" West a distance of 405.38 feet to a point on the weft line of the Said Northeast 1/4 of Section 15; thence, North 0 40' 00" West along the west line of said Northeast 1/4 of Section 15 a distance of 428.98 feet to the true point of be- ginning, 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect and be in force.
