ORDINANCE No. 883
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH RELATING TO SALARIES OF ELECTED
OFFICIALS; ADDING AND AID E MINE SECTIONS
OF THE HUIV''iINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE. '
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach do or-
dain as follows:
Section 1. That Sections 1441, 1445 and 1447 of Article
144 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code are hereby amended.,
and as amended, shall read in words and figures as follows:
Section 1441. Officers Basic Salary Schedule : Council
to Set Salaries. The Council does hereby set the salary or
compensation of the various,. elected officials of the City as
set forth in the following schedule:
. Section 1445. City Attorney $950 .00
Section 1447. Chief of Police $1014.00
Section 2. That Section 1449- be , and is hereby added
to Article 144 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code to
read as follows:
Section 1449 . Salaries or compensation as set forth
in this .Article may be changed by Resolution of the Council.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to
be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News ,
a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in the

City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty (30) days
after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect and
be in force.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, Cal_ifcr nia this 2ndday of January ;
19b2.

going ordinance was read to said City Council at a regular meeting there-

-Tamar- , 196:Z and was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote
of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council.
