HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #894 ORDINANCE No. 894 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO ZONE CASES Nos. 224 and 226; AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING SECTIONS 9211.39 (Sectional District Map 23-5-11) and 9211.37 (Sectional District Map 21-5-11) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Zone Cases Nos. 221+ and 226 and recommended the change in the district classifica- tion as hereinafter set out; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held public hear- ings in said zone cases and now finds that pub? is necessi- ty, convenience and the general welfare require the follow- ing amendments and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW) THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting- ton Beach do ordain as follows.- Section 1. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange , State of California, describ- ed as follows: Property on the south side of Edinger approx- imately 1300 ft. west of Beach Boulevard de- scribed as the North 1/2 Northwest 1/4 Northeast 1/4 of Section 23-5-11 . 1 . Ord. No. 894 is hereby reclassified from M-1 Light Industrial District to C-2 Community Business District , with setback provisions. Section 2. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: The south side of Edinger Avenue and the North side of Aldrich Street, described as Lots 14, 17 through 20, 24 through 30, 32 and 33, Tract No. 417. is hereby reclassified from A-1-X General Agricultural Dis- trict -to C-2 Community Business District, with setback pro- visions. Section 3. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange , State of California, de- scribed as follows: South side of Aldrich Street, described as Lots 50 through 59, Tract No. 417 is hereby reclassified from A-1-X General Agricultural Dis- trict to C-4 Highway Commercial District, with setback provis- ions. Section 4. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, de- scribed as follows: 2. Ord. No. 894 South of Edinger Avenue and West of Beach Boulevard, described as Lots 1 through 13, 34 and 35, Tract No. 417 is •hereby reclassified from C-1 Neighborhood Business Dis- trict to C-4 Highway Commercial District, with setback pro- visions. Section 5. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange , State of California, de- scribed as follows: Located on both sides of Stark Street and Holt Street and the north side of McDonald Street described as, Lots 60 through 69, 86 through 105, 122 through 141, Tract No. 417 , is hereby reclassified from A-1-X General Agricultural Dis- trict, as adopted by Interim Ordinance No. 668, to R-3 Lim- ited Multiple Family District. Section 6. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, de- scribed as follows: Located south of McDonald St. , north of Heil Avenue and 150 ft. west of Beach Blvd. ,de- scribed as Lots 148 through 157, Tract No. 417; Lots 1 through 10, Block A, Tract 522; Lots 1 through 10, 21 through 30, Block B,Tract 522; Lots 1 through 10, Block C,Tract 522, 3• Ord.No. 804 is hereby reclassified from A-1-X General Agricultural Dis- trict as adopted by Interim Ordinance No. 668 to R-2 Two- Family Residence District. Section 7. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, describ- ed as follows: Located west of Beach Blvd. and between Aldrich Street and Heil Avenue , described as Lots 36 through 499 70 through 85, 106 through 121, 142 through 147, Tract 417; Lots 11 through 15, Block A, Tract No. 522; Lots 11 through 20, Block B, Tract No. 522; Lots 11 through 14, Block C, Tract No. 522, is hereby reclassified from A-1-X General Agricultural Dis- trict , as adopted by Interim Ordinance No. 668 to C-4 High- way Commercial District, with setback provisions. Section 8. That a. 50 ft. setback, measured from Prop- erty line , be placed on Beach Boulevard, extending from Edinger Avenue south to Heil Avenue , and that a 100 ft. set- back be placed along Edinger Avenue measured from the center- line of Edinger Avenue extending from Pacific Electric Rail- road RM east to Beach Boulevard. Section 9. That Sections 9211.39 (Sectional District Map 23-5-11) and 9211.37 (S:ectional District Map 21-5-11) are hereby amended, and as amended, shall read in words and fig- ures as follows: 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass- age and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty(30) days after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect and be in force.
