AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
RELATING TO ZONE CASES Nos. 234 and 238,
AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE
BY RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMEND-
ING SECTIONS 9211.54 and 9211.55 (Sectional
District Maps 10-6-.11 and 9-6-11; SECTION
9211. 52 (Sectional District Map 3-6.-11) and
SECTION 9211.46 (Sectional District Map
35-5-11) .
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notices of
and duly held public hearings on Zone Cases 234 and 238, and
recommended .the changes in the district classifications as
hereinafter set out; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held public hear-
ings in said zone cases and now finds that public necessity,
convenience and the general welfare require the following
amendments and that the use under the new classifications will
not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach do ordain as follows :
Section 1. That the real property in the City of
Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, de-
scribed as follows :

Situated generally between Palm Avenue, Mag-
nolia Avenue, 17th Street and 23rd Street,
and more particularly described as :
Lots 2 , 40 6 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 200 22 ,
24, 26 and 26, Block 517; and
Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22,
24, 26 and 28, Block 617; and
All of Blocks 518, 519, 520, 521, 522 , 618,
619, 620, 621 and 622, Huntington Beach
Tract, Seventeenth Street Section,
is hereby reclassified from M-2-0 Industrial District combined
with oil to R-2-0 Two-Family Residence District combined with
oil.
Section 2. That the real property in the City of Hunt-
ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows :
Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 120 140 16, 18, 20, 220
24, 26, and 28, Block 317 ; and
All of Blocks 318, 319 , 320 , 321, 322, 417,
4183, 419, 420, 421 and 422, Huntington Beach
Tract, Seventeenth Street Section,
is hereby reclassified from M-2-:0 Industrial District combin-
ed with oil t'o ,93-cj. Limited Multiple Family Residence District
combined with oil.
Section 3. That the real property in the City of Hunt-

cribed as follows :
Located North of Garfield Avenue and East of
Goldenwest Street , and legally described as
follows :
Beginning at the SW corner of the NE% of the
NW %. of the SIA/4 of Section 35-5-11 ; thence
Southerly along the West line of the E1/� of the
NWYi of the SW14 of Section 35-5-11 to the North
line of the SITA of the SIT/4 of Section 35-5-11 ;
thence Westerly along said North line to the
Northeast corner of Lot 20, Block F of Garfield
Street Addition, Huntington Beach; thence south-
erly along the East line of Lots 13 to 20 of said
Block F to the Southeast corner of said Lot 13;
thence Easterly along the South line of Lot 26 of
said Block F and the South line of Lots 13 and

the Easterly prolongation of said south lines to

Section 5. That Sections 9211.54 and 9211.55 (Sec-
tional District Maps 10-6-11 and 9-6-11) , Section 9211.52
(Sectional District Map 3-6-11) and Section 9211.46 (Section-
al District Map 35-5--11) are hereby amended, and as amended,
shall read in words and figures as follows , to-wit:

Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass-
age and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same
to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach
News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated
in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty (30)
days after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect
and be in force.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, this 7th day of
May 1962.

all the members of said City Council.
