HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #902 ORDINANCE No. 902 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO THE COP,TENSATION OF MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AMENDING SECTION 1121 OF THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE C ODE. The people of the City of Huntington Beach do ordain as follows: Section 1. That Section 1121 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code be and the same is hereby amended to read in words and figures, as follows: Section 1121. Compensation of City Councilmen: Each member of the City Council, regularly serving in that capacity, on and after the canvass of the ballots at the General Munic- ipal Election to be held in April, 1962, shall receive, as full compensation for the services rendered by him in his of- ficial capacity as such, the sum of $125.00 per month. Section 2, The City Clerk shall certify to the adopt- ion of this ordinance and cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly news- paper published, printed and circulated in the City of Hunting- ton Beach, Orange County, California , and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force at the time provided by law. 1. r _ Ord. JONES, City Clerk and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, do here- by certify that the foregoing ordinance was submitted to the qualified voters of the City of Huntington Beach at a General Municipal Election held at said City on the tenth day of April, 1962, and that said Ordinance was at said election adopted by the qualified electors voting at said election, by the following votes. The number of voters voting for the adoption of said Ordinance was 2069 ; the number of voters voting against the adoption of said Ordinance was 1529 z City Clerk and e icio Clerk of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, State of California 3.
