Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #903 ORDINANCE No. 903 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO ZONE CASES 239, 240 AND 244; AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING SECTIONS 9211.47 (Sectional District Map 36-5-11) , 9211.49 (Sectional District Map 6-6-10) and 9211.51 (Sectional District Map 2-6-11) . WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Zone Cases No. 239, 240 and 244 and recommended the change in the district classifi- cation as hereinafter set out; and WHEREAS, the- City Council regularly held public hear- ings in said zone cases and now finds that public necessity convenience and the general welfare require the following amendments and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunt- ington Beach do ordain as follows : Section 1. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, de- scribed as follows : Located approximately 660 f t. east of Beach Blvd. and approximately 110 ft. north of Ellis Avenue and legal- ly described as being, Lots 2 thru 13, Tract No. 4027 , 1. Ord. No. 903 is hereby reclassified from R-4-X Suburban Residential Dis- trict as adopted by Interim Ordinance No. 668 to R-1 Single Family Residence District. Section 2. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State .of California, de- scribed as follows : Located at the northeast corner of Adams Avenue and Cannery Street and legally described as , Lot 85, Tract No. 4493, is hereby reclassified from R-4-Y Suburban Residential Dis- trict as adopted by Interim Ordinance No. 672 to C-1 Neighbor- hood Commercial District with setback provisions . Section 3. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, de- scribed as follows : Located at the southwest corner of Garfield Street and Main Street, and legally described as Lots 1 and 2, Block A of Garfield addition, is hereby reclassified from R-3 Limited Multiple Family Res- idence District to C -1 Neighborhood Commercial District with setback provisions . Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass- age and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect and be in force.
