HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #908 1 ORDINANCE No. 908 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO LONE CASES Nos, 250 , 251 and 253, AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING SECTIONS 9211.46 (Sectional District Flap 35-5-11) and 9211.47 (Sectional District Map 36-5-11) , 9211.41 (Sectional District Map 25-5-11) and 9211. 64 and 9211.62 (Sectional District Maps 24-6-11 and 13-6-11 ) . .WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notices of and duly held public hearings ,"'on Zone Cases 250 , 251 and 253 and recommended the changes in the district classifica- tions as hereinafter set out; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held public hearings in said zone cases and now finds that public necessity, convenience and the general welfare require the following * amendments and that 'the use under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting- ton Beach do ordain as follows : Section 1. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, describ- ed as follows : West 1/2 of the west 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 36-5-11, and Lots 7 through 18, the . South 50 feet of Lot 6, Block H, Tract No. 7 Ord. No. 908 is hereby reclassified from R-.4 ;X Suburban Residential Dis- trict as adopted by Interim Ordinance No. 668 to C-4 High- way Commercial District ; and Between Main Street and Garfield Avenue on the east side of Florida Street, more particularly described as Lots 13 through 17, Tract 598 and Lots 19 through 25, Block H , Tract No. 7, is hereby reclassified from R-2 Two Family Residential Dis- trict to 9-3 Limited Multiple Family Residence District. Section 2. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, describ- ed as follows : �- Located north of Slater Avenue and. approximate- ly 200 feet east of Beach Boulevard, and legally described as the Southerly 233.33 feet of the Easterly 196.94 feet of the Westerly 462.31 feet of the South- west,,.,1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 25-5-11, SBB &,,M, containing ap- proximately 1.05 acrbs is hereby reclassified from R-4-X Suburban Residence Dis- trict , as adopted by Interim Ordinance No. 668 to C-1 Neighborhood Commercial District, with setback provisions. Section 3. That the real property, in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, describ ed as follows : 2 . Ord, No. 908 Portions of Sections 13 and 24,Townshi.p 6 South, Range 11 West, more particularly described as Beginning at the most Southerly corner of the land described in the deed to Southern California Edison Company , a corporation, dated April 6, 1956, and recorded April 24, 1956 in Book 3485, page 268 of Official Records in the office of the County Re- corder of said County, said point being in a line that is parallel with and 100.00 feet Northeaster- ly, measured at right angles, from the Northeasterly line of the 40.00 foot right of way of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company as described in the deed re- corded December 20, 1905 in Book 123 page 96 of - Deeds , in the office of said County recorder; thence South 550 28' 30" East, along said parallel liBe, 1040.00 feet; thence at right angles, North 34 31' 30" East 844.91 feet, more or less to the Northerly line of that cer6ain parcel of land described in the deed to Mrs. Daisy E. Hurley Thorpe, recorded Febru- ary 18, 1948, in Book 1626, page 483, of Official Records in the office of the County Recorder of said County; thence North 4.50 58' West, 82. 55 f eet;thence North 480 45' West, 420.22 feet ; thence North 560 32' 30" West 88.08 feet , more or less , to the Northeaster- ly corner of the land described in said deed to Southern California Edison Company recorded in Book 3485, page 268 of Official Records ; thence, along the Southeasterly line of said last mentioned land, South 610 05' 51" West 1013.12 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning; and The Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 113, Township 6 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County® EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion thereof lying within that certain parcel of land 145. 00 feet wide, described and designated as Parcel D 1-104 in the Final Order of Condemnation had in Case No,, 8'0955 of the Superior Court of the State of California in and for the County of Orange, a certified copy of which was recorded on September 8, 1961, in Book 5842 , Page 7, of Official Records in the office of the County .Recorder of said County.
