HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #913 ORDINANCE NO. 913 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1962-1963 WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing on the adoption of a budget for the City of Huntington Beach for the fiscal year, 1962-1963; and WHEREAS,- the Council has considered the expenditures for the various departments of the City for said fiscal year; NOW,,- THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach for the fiscal year, 1962-1963,, as hereinafter set forth, is hereby adopted. That the City Administrative Officer may authorize transfers of appropriation between budget accounts within departments without approval of the City Council. Section 3. That the City Council may authorize transfers of appropriations between departments by resolution. , Section 4• That all such appropriation tranfers shall be executed on standard forms especially prepared, for this purpose. The transfer form to be used for trans- fer of appropriations within a department shall require the signature of the City Administrative Officer. The transfer form to be used for transfers of appropriations Ord. 913 Between departments shall provide space for entering the resolution number thereon and shall require the signature of one member of the Finance Committee of the City Council i ` and the City Administrative Officer. Section 5. That, in addition to those approp- riations listed in Section 1 of this Ordinance, the City Council does hereby authorize and direct the transfer of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($6100,000.00) from General Fund unappropriated surplus to a Reserve for Contingencies Account; and the City Council may authorize, by resolution, expenditures from the Reserve for Contingencies Account for any purpose, or transfer to any fund. Section 6. That the City Council, by resol- ution may authorize expenditures from the Special Gas Tax Fund, the Sewer Fund, Plater Bond Sale Fund, Acquisition of Lands for Parks Fund, and from Planned Local Drainage Facilities Fund, in accordance with the conditions governing the expenditures from such funds. Section 7. The City Auditor is hereby auth- orized to make such appropriation transfers upon receipt by him of. the authorization therefor as set forth in this Ordinance. Section 8. No provision is made in this Ordinance for the Water Department, said department is to be self-supporting. A separate budget is to be submitted for said Plater Department. Ord. 913 Section 9. This Ordinance shall be effective at the adoption hereof, and the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach* News, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, California.
