ORDINANCE No. 919 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CER- TAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "HUNTINGTON HARBOUR. CORPORATION AN- NEXATION - PARCEL #1" TO THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, Calif- ornia, does ordain as follows : WHEREAS;, pursuant to the provisions of the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, " the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach did, on the 4th day of June, 1962, pass and adopt Resolution No, 1596, giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Huntington Beach, said territory being therein desig- nated as "Huntington Harbour Corporation Annexation - Parcel #1" and said action being taken by the Council of said City as the legislative body of the City, pursuant to a written petition therefor, said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to said City; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No© 1596, did contain a notice of the day; hour and place when and where the said council of said City would hear protests made by any person owning property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than 40 nor more than 60 days after the passage of said Resolution; and 1. Ord, No.919 WHEREAS, on the 16th day of July, 1962, at the hour of 8: 00 P.M. in the .Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Huntington Beach, State of California, said time and place being the day and hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 1596 for hearing protests to the said annex- ation, and-no protests, either written or oral, to said an- nexation having been made; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Huntington Beach, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Orange; and WHEREAS, the owners of more than two-thirds_ of the value of the territory have heretofore filed with the City Clerk written consent that the property in said territory be, after annexation, subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of Huntington Beach to pay the en- tire bonded indeb tedness of the City of Huntington Beach outstanding or authorized at the date of the filing of the petition for annexation for the acquisition, construction or completion of municipal improvements; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby approve the annexation known as "Huntington Harbour Corporation Annexation-Parcel #l, the; territory of which is hereinafter described,to the City of Huntington Beach,and does hereby further ordain that said terri 20 Ord. No. 919 tory be and it is hereby annexed to the City of Huntington Beach. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Huntington Beach is herein approved, is all that territory situated in the County of Orange, State of Calif- ornia, and more particularly described as follows : Beginning at an angle point in the City Boundary Line of the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, said Boundary having been established by "Sunset Harbour Annexation" in Ordinance No. 800 of said City, said angle point being at the intersection of the southwest- erly prolongation of the line common to the Rancho La Bolsa Chica and Las Alamitos with the common boundary between the' property conveyed to Lomita Land and Water Company per deed recorded in Book 160, Page 282, of Deeds, records of said County and the property conveyed to Sunset Beach Company as described in deed recorded in Book 108, Page 46, of said Deeds; thence along said southwesterly pro- longation, leaving said City Boundary Line and following along the City Boundary Line of the City of Seal Beach as per Annexation No. 7, Ordinance No`. 589, S 490 34' 33" W. 975.18 feet, more or less to a point in the northeasterly line of the Right of Way of Pacific Coast Highway (U. S. Al-ternate 101) 100 feet in width as per deed recorded in Book 410, Page 165 of Official Records, Records of said County; said last mentioned point being in a curve concave to the southwest having A radius of 1060 feet, a radial line of said curve from said point bearing S 260 05' 34" W;_ thence southeasterly along said curve and along said right of way line through a central angle of 200 32' 58"" a distance of 380.17 feet, more or less ; thence tangent to said curve and along said right of way line S� 430 21' 27" E. 389.02 feet more or less to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the southwest having a radius of 1060 feet; thence southeasterly along said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line through a central angle of 180 27' 12" a distance of 341.40 f t. more or less ;thence tangent to 3. Ord. No. 919 said curve and along said right of way line S 240 54' 15" E 63.84 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 940 feet; thence southeasterly along said last men- tioned curve and along said right of way line through a central angle of 70 10' 23" a distance of 117.68 feet, more or less; thence tangent to said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line S 320 04' 38" E 35.23 feet, more or less to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 940 feet; thence southeasterly along said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line through a .central angle of 110 20 58" a distance of 186.20 feet, more or less; thence tangent to said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line S 430 25' 36" E 563.44 feet, more or less to the beginning of ,a tangent curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 940 feet; thence southeasterly along said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line througgh a central angle of 8 20 4 distance of 136.93 feet, more or less; thence_ tangent to .said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line S 510 46' 22" E 179.28 feet, more or less , to the northwesterly line of Tract No. 21 as per map recorded in Book 9, Page 22 of Miscellan- eous Maps, records of said County; thence along said Tract line N 460 39' 08" E 323.43 feet, more or Less to the most northerly corner of said Tract No. 21 and to said City Boundary Line of the City of Huntington Beach as per Sunset Harbour Annexation, Ordinance No, 800; thence along said City Boundary line and along said common boundary between land con- veyed to Lomita Land and Water Company and land con- veyed to Sunset Beach Company N 420 45' 27" W 1008.96 feet more or less to an angle point in-said City Boundary Line; thence continuing along said City Boundary-Line and along said common boundary N 160 24' 40" W 1468.28 feet, more or less, to the point of . beginning. The boundaries of said City of Huntington Beach are hereby altered and the said territory above described is here- by annexed to, incorporated in and included within the City of Huntington Beach, California, and said City shall. have all rights and powers in, to and over said territory as are provided by law. 4. Grd. No. 919 The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby further ordain that the territory above describ- ed shall be subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of Huntington Beach to pay the entire bonded indebtedness of the City of Huntington Beach outstanding on June 4, 1962, the date of the filing of the Petition for An- nexation of said territory or theretofore authorized for the acquisition, construction or completion of municipal im- provements. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the "same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, California; and thirty days after the adoption thereof the same shall take effect and be in force.
