AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH RELATING TO ZONE CASES Nos. 266
and 268; AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH
ORDINANCE CODE BY RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN
PROPERTY and AMENDING SECTIONS 9211'.56
(Sectional District Map 11-6-11 and
9211.49 (Sectional District Map 6-6-10) .
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notices of
and duly held public hearings on Zone cases Nos. 266 and 268
and recommended the changes in the district classifications
as hereinafter set out; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held public hear-
ings in said zone cases and. now finds that public necessity,
convenience and the general welfare require the following
amendments and that the use under the new classifications will
not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach ordains as follows:
Section 1. That the real property in the City of Hunt-
ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows :
Located west of Beach Boulevard and north
of Indianapolis Avenue, and .legally describ-
ed as Lot B, Blgck 908, Vista Del Mar Tract,
is hereby reclassified frdm R-3 Limited Multiple Family Resi-
dence District to C-4 Highway Commercial District, with set-
back provisions .

Section 2. That the real property in the City of Hunt-
ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, describ-
ed as follows
Located north of Adams Avenue and incest of Brook-
hurst Street and legally described as the SE4 of
the SE4, except southerly 517 feet (more or less)
of the easterly 1041 feet (more or less) of Sec-
tion 6-6-10,
is hereby reclassified from A-1-Y General Agricultural Dis-
trict to R-3 Limited Multiple Family Residence District .
Section:,: 3. Section 9211.56 (Sectional District Map
11-6-11) and Section 9211.49 (Sectional District Map 6-6-10)
are hereby amended, and as amended, shall read in words and
figures, as follows

Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass-
age and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the
same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington
Beach News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and
circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, California,
and thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof, the same
shall take effect and be in force.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, this lst day of
October 1962.

I , PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach and ex-of-
ficio Clerk of the City Council of the said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
ordinance was read to said City Council at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 17tb day of September , 1962, and
was again read to said City Council at a regular meeting there-
of held on the 1st day of _Qtober , 1962, and was
passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a
majority of all the members of said City Council.
