HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #937 ORDINANCE N0. 937 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO ZONE CASE No. 274; AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING SECTION 9211.46 (Sectional District Map 35-5-11) . WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Zone Case No. 274 and recommended the changes in the district classification as hereinafter set out; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear- ing in said zone case and now finds that public necessity, convenience and the general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunt- ington Beach ordains as follows: Section 1. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, describ- ed as follows : Located at the southwest corner of Main Street and Delaware Street and legally described as Lot 4, Block F, Tract No. 7 , EXCEPTING the South 126.58 f t is hereby reclassified from R-5 Professional District to C-2 Community Business District, with setback provisions 1. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass- age and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated In the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect and be in force.
