HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #938 ORDINANCE No. 938 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO ZONE CASES Nos. 281 and 282; AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING PORTIONS OF SEC- TIONS 9211.51(Sectional District Map 2-6-11 ) ; 9211.52 (Sectional District Map 3-6-11 ) ; 9211.53 (Sectional District Map 4-6-11 ) ; 9211.54 (Sectional District Map lo-6-11 ) ; 9211. 56 (Sectional District Map 11-6-11) ; 9211.63 (Sectional District Map 14-6-11) . WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notices of and duly held public hearings on Zone Cases Nos. 281 and 282 and recommended the changes in the district classifica- tions as hereinafter set out; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held public hearings in said zone cases and now finds that public necess- ity, convenience and the general welfare require the follow- ing amendment and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunt- ington Beach ordains as follows : Sectional. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach , County of Orange, State of California, de- scribed as follows : 1. Ord. No. 938 C-10; bounded on the northwest by the North- westerly limits of the City of Huntington Beach, on the northeast by the southerly R/W line of the Pac- ific Coast Highway, on the southeast by a line par- allel to and 3?.5 ft. northwesterly of the south- westerly prolongation of the centerline of 8th Street and on the southwest by a line parallel to and south- erly 120.00 ft. from said southerly A/W line of the Pacific Coast Highway. C-1 bounded on the northwest by the Northwesterly limits of the City of Hunting- ton Beach, on the southwest by the ordinary high water mark of the Pacific Ocean, on the southeast by the southwesterly prolongation of the northwesterly R/W line of Main Street, and on the northeast by the soutb- erly R/W line of the Pacific Coast Highway between said southwesterly prolongation of the northwesterly R/W line of Main Street and a line parallel to and 37. 5 ft. northwesterly of the southwesterly prolonga- tion of the centerline of 8th Street and also on the northeast by a line parallel to and southerly 120.00 ft. from said southerly R/W line of the Pacific Coast Highway between said parallel line 37.5 ft. northwest- erly of the prolongation of the centerline of 8th Street and said northwesterly limits of the City of Huntington Beach, is hereby reclassified from M-2-0 Heavy Industrial District combined with oil, R1_0 Single Family Residence District combined with oil, C-3 General Business District and S-1 Shore- line District. to C-1-0 Neighborhood Commercial District com- bined with oil and C-1 Neighborhood Commercial District. Section 2. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, de- scribed as follows : Located, generally, south of Garfield Avenue, west of Main Street, north of Palm Avenue, north of Ocean Avenue, and east of the northwesterly limits of the City of Huntington Beach, Is hereby reclassified from M-2-0 Heavy Industrial District 2. No. 938 , combined with oil and R-1-0 Single Fancily Residence District combined with oil to R-1-0-P.D.5, Planned Single Family Res- idence District combined with oil, R-2-0 Two Iiamily Residence District combined with oil, R-3-0 Limited Multiple Family Res- idence District combined with oil and C-1-0 Neighborhood Com- mercial District combined with oil. Section 3.
