HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #945 ORDINANCE No. 945 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING SECTION 1577.E OF THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO AILOCATIONS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST. WHEREAS, it appears to be necessary for the City of Huntington Beach to make new allocations to the Police De- partment of the City of Huntington Beach; and WHEREAS, these allocations are necessary for the immed- . late protection of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City of Huntington, Beach ; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting- ton Beach does ordain as follows: Section 1577.5• Number POLICE ...DEPARTMENT Authorized CLASS TITLE 1 Police Chief - Elected 1 Police Captain 3 Police Lieutenants 1 Sergeant Identification Technician 1 Identification Technician 8 Police Sergeants 2,8 Policeman g l' Stenographer-Matron 1 Typist-Clerk 2 Intermediate Typist Clerk 2 P/T Crossing Guard 30 P/T Reserve Officers 2 Parking Control Officers (Female) 5 Clerk Dispatcher iN Detective 1 Traffic Engineer 1 Policewoman 1 Mechanic III 1 Meter Repairman 1 Secretary-Stenographer 1' Policeman-(Assigned to Detective Bureau-Extra Pay) 1. This ordinance, being an emergency measure, for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Huntington-Beach, which emergency is set forth and defined In the preamble hereto, shall take effect and be in force from and after the passage and adoption hereof. Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass- age and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, California.
