HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #947 ORDINANCE No. 947 AN. .ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING -TO ZONE CASES Nos. 275,, 288, 294 and 295; AMENDING THE HUNTING- TON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY RECLASSIFY- ING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING SEC- TIONS 9211.61 (Sectional District Map 18-6-10) 9211.51 (Sectional District Map 2-6-11) , 9211.49 (Sectional District Map 6-6-10) and 9211.48 (Sectional District Map 5-6-10) . WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held public hearings on Zone Cases Nos. 275, 288, 294 and 295 and recommended the changes in the district class- ifications as hereinafter set out; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held public hearings in said zone cases and now finds that public necessity, con- venience and the general welfare require the following amend- ments and that the use under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting- . ton ordains as follows: Section 1. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Located at the northeast corner of Banning Avenue and Cannery Street and legally described as: 1. Ord. No. 947 PARCEL I. The SW-,'K of the SWI. of Section 18-6-10, EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Easterly 80 ft. thereof. PARCEL II. The SWI, of the SEA of the SW.' of Section 18-6-10, EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Westerly 80 ft. thereof, M-1 and is hereby reclassified from/M-1-A Restricted Manufacturing District to R-1 Single Family Residence District. Section 2. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, describ- ed as follows: Located on the north side of Utica Avenue and 130 ft. west of Beach Boulevard and legally de-scribed as follows: The west 50 feet of the east 200 feet of Block 2108 of the Eastside Villa Tract in the City of Huntington Beach, is hereby reclassified from C-2 Community Business District to R-4 Multiple Family Residence District. Section 3. That the real property in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, describ- ed as follows: Located at the southwest corner of Yorktown Avenue and Bushard Street and legally describ- ed as future final tract 4350 in the City of Huntington Beach, Ls -I.-I hereby reclassified from A-1-Y General Agricultural Dis- trict as adopted by Interim Ordinance 672 to R-1 Single Family Residence District. 2. Ord. No. 947 9 Section 4. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows : Located at the southeast corner of Yorktown Avenue and Brookhurst Street and legally described as all of that portion of the S2 of Section 5-6=10 lying west of the Huntington Beach City limits, EXCEPTING THE FOLLOWING. DESCRIBED PARCEL: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Brookhurst Street and Adams Avenue; thence N 880 48' 35" E 1315.79 ft. along the centerline of Adams Avenue; thence N 1 11' 25" W. 1032.844 ft; thence S 880 54' 51" W. 1318.25 ft. tg the center- line of Brookhurst Street; thence S 1 19' 35" E- 1035. 25 ft• along the centerline of Brookhurst Street to the point of beginning. Is hereby reclassified from A-1-Y General Agricultural, -Dis- trict as adopted by Interim Ordinance 672 to R-1 Single Family Residence District. Section 5.
