HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1001 ORDINANCE No. 1001 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH OR- DINANCE BY AMENDING SECTIONS 353D and 3631 THEREOF. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: Section 1* That Sections 3530 and 3631 of Artibles 35 and 36 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code are hereby amended$ and as amended, shall read in words and figures, as follows* Section 212Q:.. Service Fee. The Water Department, as a condition to granting the application and furnishing water service to the premises, Is authorized to charge and shall collect In advance the following sums for the purpose of re- imbursing the City for the cost of the system and future re- placements and extensions thereof. (a) The sum of Thirty and .no/100 no/).00 ($30-00) Dollars for each dwelling unit on parcels containing less than ten- thousand (10,000)square feet. - (b) For any parcel containing -ten-thousand (10t000) sivare feet of area or more, One Hundred and Fifty and No/10 0 ( 150.00) dollars per acre or each fraction thereof, or Thirty and no/100 (430.00) dollars Rer dwelling unit, which-' ever Is greater. (c) The service" fee for lands owned by public agencies may be waived by the City Council, on condition that in the event any such lands are later transferred for private .,,. use, the service fee shall be payable before water service will be furnished for such private use. Ord. No. 1001 Section 3631, Service Fee. The Sanitation Depart- ment, as a -Pondition to granting the application and furnish- Ing sewer service to the premises, is authorized to charge and shall collect' in advance the following sums- for the pur- pose of reimbursing the City 'for the, cost of the system and future replacements and extensionsthereof. (a) The 'sum of- Ninety and no/100- ($90.00) Dollars for the first dwelling unit, plus the sum of Sixty and no/10=-0.00 ) Dollars.. for each allaitlonal dwell"'I unit .-Mg on pateels containing less than ten-thousand 10,055T square feet in area. (b) In the event the charge of Ninety and No/100 ($90.00) for each parcel containing less than ten thousand (10*.000) square feet Is Insufficient to cover the cost of the extension,-, -then said cost shall be pro-rated as to each par- cel or lot upon a front footage basis, except for corner lots front footage shall be Increased by twenty percent (20%) of the length of the side lot line. (c) For any parcel containing ten-thousand (10,000) sguare feet of area or more, Three Hundred and Nolloo . ( 300.00) Dollars per acre or each fraction thereof or Sixty and noZ100 60.00) Dollars per dwelling unit whichever is greater. (d) The service fee for lands owned by public agencies may be waived by the City Council, on condition that In the event any .such lands are later transferred for private use, the service fee shall be payable before sewer service shall be furnished for such private use. Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass- age and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one ,insertion in the Huntington /Beach News,,' a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach,, California. and thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect.and be in force. 2.
