HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1023 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1023 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH OR- DINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 5531. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: Section 1. That Section 5531 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code is hereby amended, and as amended, shall read in words and figures as follows: Section 5531. Soliciting on Private Property a Nuisance: The practice of going in and upon private residences in the City r of Huntington Beach, California, by solicitors, peddlers , hawk- ers, itinerant merchants and transient vendors of merchandise, not having been requested or invited so to do by the owner or owners, occupant or occupants of said private residences, for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, com- mercial services, wares and merchandise, and/or for the pur- pose of disposing of and/or peddling, or hawking same, is here- by declared to be a nuisance and punishable as such as a mis- demeanor. Section 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the i same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect and be in force.
