HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #955 i ORDINANCE No. 955 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO ZONE CASE No. 304; AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING 'SECTIONS 9211.42 (Sectional District Map 26-5-11 ) . WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Zone Case No. 304 and recommended the change in the district classification as hereinafter set out; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hear- ing in said zone case and now finds that public necessity, convenience and the general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach ordains as follows: Section 1. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, de- scribed as follows: Located on the west side of Ash Street and approximately 400 feet south of Cypress- Avenue and legally described as the East half of Lot 5, Block ID' , Tract No. 436, 1. Ord. No. 955 is hereby reclassified from A-1-X General Agricultural Dis- trict as adopted by Interim Ordinance No. 668 to R-2 Two Family Residence District. Section 2. Sections 9211.42 (Sectional District Map 26-5-11 ) is hereby amended, and as amended, shall read in words and figures as follows: 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and cir- culated in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof the same shall take effect and be in force.
