HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #974 ORDINANCE No. 974 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH OR- DINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 1451. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: Section 1. That Section 1451 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code is hereby amended, and as amended shall read in words and figures as follows: Section 1451. Forty -Hour -week emergencies. All employ- ees who are paid on a monthly basis, except part-time employees and uniformed employees of the Fire Department are required to be on duty forty hours each week except in- cases of emer- gency that may be defined by the Council. The working schedule for Fire Department personnel who are required to work on a 24 hour shift shall be a three platoon system with an annual average of 56 hours per week. Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a week- ly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in- the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect and be in force.
