HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #976 ORDINANCE No. 976 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO ZONE CASES Nos. 330 and 331; AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AMENDING SECTIONS 9211.41 (Sectional District Map 25-5-11) and 9211.51 (Sectional District Map 2-6-11) . WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notices of and duly held public hearings on Zone Cases Nos. 330 and 331 and recommended the changes in the district classifica- tions as hereinafter set out; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held public hearings in said zone cases and now finds that public necessi- ty, convenience and the general welfare require the following amendments and that the use under the new classifications . will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach ordains as follows : Section 1. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, de- scribed as follows : 1. Ord. No. 976 Located on the east side, of Van Buren Street and approximately 350 ft. north of Newman Avenue,and legally described as Lot 7,, Tract No. 439,, is hereby reclassified from R_4_X Suburban Residential Dis- trict, as adopted by Interim Ordinance No. 668 to R-2 Two Family Residence District. Section 2. That the real property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, de- scribed as follows: Located at the southeast corner of Clay Avenue and Delaware Street and legally described as Blocks 2805 A and 2805 B, East Side Villa Tract, is hereby reclassified from R-2 Two Family Residence District to R-4 Multiple Family Residence District. Section 3- Sections 9211.41, (Sectional. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect and be in force.
