AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH OR-
DINANCE CODE RELATING TO PARKING BY' AMEND`.:
ING SECTIONS 63o4 and 63o4.1 and ADDING
SECTIONS. 6305 and 6305.1. ,
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
does ordain as follows:
Section 1. That Sections 6304 and 6304.1 of the
Huntington Beach Ordinance Code are hereby amended, and as
amended, shall read in words and figures, as follows:
Section 6304. Parking For More than 72 Consecutive
Hours Prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person,firm,
or corporation who owns , controls or has possession or cus-
tody of any vehicle to park, or leave standing, such vehicle
upon arty street or highway within the City of Huntington
Beach for 72 or more consecutive hours.
Section 6304.1. Removal and Storage Vehicleg for
Excessive Parking. The Chief of Police may cause any vehicle
parked or left standing upon a street or highway within the
City of Huntington Beach for 72 or more consecutive hours to
be removed and placed in storage in the.- manner and subject
to the requirements of the Vehicle Code of the State of
California.
Section 2, That Sections 6305 and- 6305.1 are hereby
added to the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code to read in
words and figures, as follows: -

Section 6305. Parking of Commercial Vehicle in Aesi-
dential _District upon public right-of-way for More Than -I
Hours.
It shall be unlawful for the operator of a commer-
cial vehicle to stop such vehicle and leave same so parked
in any residential district upon a public right-of-way for
a period of time in excess of five hours.
Section 6305.1. Exceptions: Section 6305 will not
apply while a commercial vehicle is being loaded or unloaded
and time, in addition to the . five (5) hour period, is nee-
essary to complete- such work; or when such vehicle is parked
in connection with, and in the aid of the performance of a
service to, or on property in the block in which such vehicle
-� is parked, and time, in addition to such five-hour (5) period
is reasonable necessary to complete such service.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass-
age and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same
to be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach
News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated
in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty (30)
days after the adoption thereof, the same shall take effect
and be in force.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, this 15th day of February ,

I, PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and acting
City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five;
that the foregoing ordinance was read to said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 1st day of February 1965-,
and was again read to said City Council at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 15thday of February 1965, and was
passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a majority of
all the members of said City Council.
