AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH -APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CER-
TAIN UNINHABITED. TERRITORY DESIGNATED
AS "HUNTINGTON BEACH STATE PARK ANNEX-
ATION" . .
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, Calif-
ornia , does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the "Annexation
of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939", the City Council of
Huntington Beach did, on the 1st day of February, 1965 , pass
and adopt Resolution No. 2113 giving notice of the proposal
to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Hunt-
ington Beach, said territory being therein designated as
"Huntington Beach State Park Annexation10 and said action being.
taken by the Council of said City as the legislative body of
the City on its own motion by the adoption of Resolution
No. 2088; said Resolution No. 2113 describing the boundaries
to the territory so proposed to' be annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2113, did contain a notice
of the day, hour and place when and where the said Council of
said City would hear protests made by any person owning prop-
erty within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of
said hearing being not less than 40 nor more than 60 days
after the passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of March, 1965, at the hour
of 8:00 P.M. , or as soon thereafter of said day, in the

Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Huntington
Beach, State of California, said time and place being the
hour and day and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2113
for hearing protests to the said annexation, and no protests,
either written or oral to said annexation having been made;
and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
Huntington Beach, and is uninhabited territory in the County
of Orange; and
" WHEREAS, the owners of more than two thirds of the value
of the territory have heretofore filed with the City Clerk
written consent that the property in said territory be after
annexation, subject to taxation equally with the property
within the City of Huntington Beach to pay the entire bonded
indebtedness of the City of Huntington Beach outstanding or
authorized at the date of the filing of the petition for an-
nexation for the acquisition, construction or completion of
municipal improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting-
ton Beach does hereby approve- the annexation known as "Hunt-
ington Beach State Park Annexation", the territory of which
is hereinafter described, to. the City of Huntington Beach,
and does hereby further ordain that said territory be and it
is hereby annexed to the City of Huntington Beach.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City
of Huntington Beach is herein approved, is all that territory
situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and
more particularly described as follows:

A parcel of land situated partially in fractional Sec-
tion 13, Township 6 South, Range 11 West, and partially .in
each of fractional sections 24 and 19, Township 6 South,
Range 10 west, San-Bernardino Base and Meridian, Orange
County, California, said parcel being more particularly de-
scribed as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of
the City of Huntington each, California, said angle point
having been established by the intersection of the boundary
established by the City Charter of the city of Huntington
Beach, incorporated February17, 1909, with the. boundary es-
tablished by annexation in rdinance No. 541 of the City of
Huntington each, said point being the intersection of the
west line of above mentioned fractional Section 13 with the
southwesterly line of the Pacific Electric 11ailway Company
Right of Way as shown on a Record of Survey recorded in
Book 51 on Page 15 of Record of Surveys in the office of the
County Recorder of Orange CoUn.ty; thence southeasterly along
the existing boundary of the City of Huntington Beach as es-
tablished by Ordinance No. 541, and along the southwesterly
line of the before mentioned pacific Electric Railway Company

southeasterly 76.75 feet through a central angle of 20 22'
07" along a tangent curve concave to the northeast having a
radius of 11,532636 feet, to a point of tangency with a line

2764.49 feet along said line to an angle point in the bound-
ary of the City of Huntington peach established .by annexation
in Ordinance No. 541, said ppoint also lying in the northwest..

ific 'lectric Railway Company recorded in Book 668 on Pages

The boundaries of said City of Huntington Beach are here-
by altered and the said territory above described is hereby
annexed to, incorporated in, and included within the City of
Huntington Beach, California, and said City shall have all
rights and powers in, to and over said territory as are pro-
vided by law.
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
hereby further ordain that the territory above described .
shall be subject to taxation equally with the property within
the City of Huntington Beach to pay the entire bonded indebt-
edness of the City of Huntington Beach outstanding on December
22T- , 19649 the date on which the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach passed and adopted Resolution No. 2088 in
which it initiated on its own motion proceedings to annex
the above described territory in the County of Orange, state
of California, herein designated as "Huntington Beach State
Park Annexation", or theretofore authorized for the acquisit-
ion, construction or completion of municipal improvements.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by
one insertion in the Huntington Beach News, a Meekly newspaper
Printed, published, and circulated in the City of Huntington
Beach, California, and thirty days after the adoption thereof,
the same shall take effect and be in force.

City Council of the City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five;
that the foregoing ordinance was read to said City.Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 15thday of March 1965-2
and was again read to said City Council at a regular meeting thereof
held on the Sth day of April 1965, and was passed
and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a majority of all the
members of said City Council.
